While the Giants offense was busy maintaining its torrid pace, rookie pitcher Phil Carignan spent the morning baffling Orioles hitters taking a no-hitter into the 7th. Carignan ultimately got the win in his first start of the season, throwing a complete game and surrendering just one run on two hits while picking up 7 strikeouts. The Giants offense jumped out to a commanding lead early in the game an never looked back. The Giants plated 6 in the first, with 3 runs coming on a bases-cleaing double by Chad Griffiths. The Giants continue to score in bunches and showed a surge in power, scoring 5 runs in the fourth with doubles by Clarke, Savas, Carignan, and Nowlin. At 6-0 the Giants will look to keep their momentum rolling as the weather and season heats up, returning to their home field next Saturday to take on the Cutters.
