Despite only having 8 players the Giants were able to fend off the Os thanks to some well-timed offense and a valiant pitching effort from Brett Nowlin.

The Giants look to close out the regular season with a win against the first place Spinners in Cambridge on Tuesday.

Offensively, the Cutters broke out out for 12 runs over the the first 4 innings. Rookie Joe Sabitino struck out 13 of 15 batters and took a no-hitter into the 5th before it was broken up by the Os Lussier with 2-outs. MacDonald, Tejada and Coveney had multihit games.

In an offensive battle, the A's came out on top with 8 runs on 14 hits. Brett O'Keefe went the distance and struck out 9 batters.

Four A's finished with multi-hit games. Alan Donaruma and Tom Vadala each went 3 for 4 with a double. Nick Barton finished 2 for 5. And Bo McIntyre was 2 for 4 with a double and a homerun.

For the Orioles, Manuel was 2 for 4 with a double, and Lechappelle 2 for 3 with two doubles.

The A's face the Spinners on Tuesday night. The O's next face the Cutters, also on Tuesday.

Kenny Manero, in what likely was his final appearance of the season, went out with quite a bang, hurling an 11-inning complete game with 11 K's. He and Juan Carlos Ulloa locked horns in an outstanding pitching duel.

In the 11th inning, the O's finally broke the tie, reaching base on a double, an error and another double, all with two outs. Manero went back out there to finish what he started, wrapping it up with a 1-2-3 inning.

Spinners jump out front early, putting up 5 in the 1st - led by a Peter Allain base loaded triple. The O's came right back in the 2nd, pushing across 2 of their own. But that's all they would get as Donohoe settled in and J.Tufo closed the door.

Valdiviezo, Salvia and Allain all had 2 hits a piece. While Donohoe struck out 7.

Spins back in action tonight against the Giants.

The Orioles bats came out of cold thaw and rookie Kenny Manero threw a gem to spark the O's to victory. Manero threw 6 innings, striking out 6 and allowing only 1 (unearned) run. Luis Leon led the offense with two booming doubles.

The Giants continued their winning ways posting 13 runs against the Orioles, with Tom Plumitallo and Paul Branche picking up 2 hits a piece. Trey Benitez and Brett Nowlin allowed just 4 runs on 5 hits. Nowlin racked up 5 strikeouts while allowing 0 earned runs over five innings of relief.

The Giants will head to Waltham this Thursday to take on the Cutters and hope to continue building momentum as they head into a two game series with the Spinners next week.

Despite 4 strong innings from starter Jeff Hall, the Dodgers found themselves in a 3-1 hole following some defensive miscues and timely hitting from the Orioles. The Dodgers bats came alive in the 5th, with hits from Dan Turner and Alex Ahmed, followed by a Matt Duignan double. The Dodgers manufactured a run each in the 6th and 7th innings, and Tyler Dee threw two scoreless to pick up the win. Shawn Chattin closed the door in the 7th to get the save.

Rookie Brian Rosinski dominates with a complete game, 2 hit shutout while piling up 11 K's and no walks. Was a nothing nothing game til bottom 6 where a Dana Levensaler double cleared the bases and that was plenty for Rosinski.

Willie Lopez picked up his first win of the season, throwing a complete game. Down 4-1 entering the bottom of the 6th, the O's bats exploded for 6 runs, led by a clutch 3-run HR by Joan Cordero. Jason Bressner then plated Greg Syrek to give the Orioles the lead, the Birds followed up with a couple of insurance runs, and Lopez made it all hold up in the final frame.

Cordero (3RBI), Bressner (2RBI), Cam Kelly and Chance Andersen each chipped in with two hits apiece to pace the Orioles offensively.

For the Dodgers, Jeff Hall threw 5 strong innings of 1-run ball, and Zach Guarino led the Dodgers' attack with a pair of hits and 2 RBI.

Breidenstine fired 4 innings for the victory. Everyone on the A's contributed at the plate. Tessari, Muollo, and Buddha all had 2 hit performances at the plate for the A's.

While the Giants offense was busy maintaining its torrid pace, rookie pitcher Phil Carignan spent the morning baffling Orioles hitters taking a no-hitter into the 7th. Carignan ultimately got the win in his first start of the season, throwing a complete game and surrendering just one run on two hits while picking up 7 strikeouts.

The Giants offense jumped out to a commanding lead early in the game an never looked back. The Giants plated 6 in the first, with 3 runs coming on a bases-cleaing double by Chad Griffiths. The Giants continue to score in bunches and showed a surge in power, scoring 5 runs in the fourth with doubles by Clarke, Savas, Carignan, and Nowlin.

At 6-0 the Giants will look to keep their momentum rolling as the weather and season heats up, returning to their home field next Saturday to take on the Cutters.

The Spinners rolled over the Orioles 14-1 in a mercy rule shortened game Saturday night. Seven Spinners scored run, with Colin Sullivan and Ricky Salvia leading the way with three runs apiece. Mark Killoren scored three times and drove in three runs. The Cambridge offense was also aided by patient batting and took advantage of 11 walks issued by Orioles pitching.

Luc Kocher pitched four innings of shutout ball, giving up just one hit while striking out six, Marty Clarke pitched an inning in relief with two strikeouts.

The Dodgers prevailed in a lopsided affair at Newton South High School this Sunday. Jeff Hall pitched a no-hitter through the fifth inning before handing the reins to the Dodgers bullpen for the final two innings. Nearly every Dodger in the lineup reached base at least once with seven of the home team's runs coming through back to back rallies in the 3rd and 4th innings. Trevor Barsamian and Drew Cumming each recorded two hits and Dave Dow reached base in every at bat. Rookie Mike Tobias smashed a timely double to fuel the 3rd inning rally. Matt McPherson made his debut for the Dodgers on the mound, recording two K's in the sixth inning.

O's pick up an Opening Day win on a sunny morning at Fallon. After jumping ahead to a 4-0, the Red Sox came storming back to seize the lead at 5-4. The Orioles responded in the next half-inning, plating 4 more to take a lead that would stand up. But the Red Sox went down fighting, scoring two in the 7th and getting the tying runs into scoring position before pitcher Nelson Rodriguez (3IP, W) induced a ground ball out to end the game.

Gren Gallivan (2RBI), Drew Lussier (2RBI) and Cam Kelly packed the Orioles attack with 2 hits apiece. Will Lopez threw well in four solid innings out of the gate but ended up with a no-decision.

For the Red Sox, Evan Chand reached base in all five of his plate appearances (2H, 2BB, HBP);.
