In the opening round series between the Cambridge Cantabs and the Braintree Braves, it was the Cambridge 9 that drew first blood by picking up the game 1 win. Fueled by timely hitting - including a first inning 2-RBI double by Corey Aldoupolis - and solid starting pitching from Joe Perna (CG, 7 hits, 0ER), the underdog 'Tabs head to Fallon on Tuesday for game 2 of the series with their work still veyr much cut out for them.
