The A's rode the arm of Brett O'Keefe to a 3-1 victory over the White Sox at Ryan on a steamy afternoon. O'Keefe was on all day, while striking out 3 and keeping the Sox off-balance at the plate. The A's got on the board in the first, when Jordan Krall smashed a long fly to right and rounded the bases for a home run. The White Sox threatened in the 4th, with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out. Francis Reyes smoked a line drive destined for a single, but Krall snagged it, and doubled off the runner at first to end the inning. In the bottom half of the inning, Matt "Buddha" Asdornvuttikrai would hit one to the fence in left, driving in his brother Warren, and rounding the bases himself for a homer. Warren, however, was not impressed with his brother's heroics. Perkins was impressive in the defeat, throwing 5 innings and striking out 6 in the effort.
