The Spinners win their home opener 2-1 over the South Shore Grays. Four Cambridge pitchers combined for the win, allowing just four hits while striking out six. Pat Donahue earned the win and Pat Clapp picked up the save. Down 1-0 in the fourth, Mark Killoren reached base on a fielder's choice and scored on a Grays error. Gerard Taylor came on as a pinch-hitter in the sixth, drawing a walk and scoring on an RBI double by Nick Sieber. Tom Plumitallo pitched five innings for South Shore, striking out three. Matt Ferro scored the Grays lone run in the top of the first.
