Phil Carignan puts the Grays on his back and carries them to the 2nd round. Carignan did it with the bat and his arm as he spun a CG shutout allowing only 4 hits with 5 strikeouts.

Carignan helped at the dish as well driving in 2 of the Gray's 3 runs. Zac Stiffler roped an RBI double in the 6th to put the game officially out of reach. That said, the offense was led by Danny Concessi. Concessi, fresh off a 2 week African safari, didn't miss a beat as he went 3-3 with a double and scored all 3 Grays runs.

The Grays will face the defending champion Sox in the 2nd round. Game One is Wednesday in Lynn.

The Grays even the series up behind Brian Maloney's CG shutout. Maloney struck out 6 and allowed 6 hits through 7 to pick up his first career MABL Postseason victory.

The Gray's offense scored 3 in the 3rd as they finally got some timely hitting with RISP. After a 2-out triple by Tom Plumitallo and a walk to Zac Stiffler, Phil Carignan doubled to drive one in. An error on the following play plated two more which would end up being all the Grays needed to take the game.

The series finale will be played in Quincy on Saturday morning.

Well played playoff game at Trum tonight. Brian Rosinski throws a gem and goes the distance. Key game situation; Gray's get 2nd and 3rd no outs in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Rosinski then strikes out the side and gets out of it without allowing a run. Game 2 tonrw night at Maplewood.

Nick Constantine picks up his 2nd win of the year throwing a CG giving up 5 hits with 4 strikeouts.

The Gray's offense started the game on fire plating 5 of their first 6 batters. Joff Smith and Anthony Montone each added 2 RBI while Dave Clarke and Jared Walsh had 3 and 2 hits respectfully.

The Gray's are now firmly in the playoffs with 2 games remaining against the Cutters and A's that will determine seeding.

The Grays win a pitchers duel in game 2 of the double header. Tom Plumitallo and Avery Ford battled all game with each throwing a CG for their respective teams. Plumitallo gave up 1 run on 7 hits over 7 to get the win.

The Surgeons took an early 1-0 lead in the 2nd inning on a 2 out base hit. Ford had silenced the Grays at bats for the first half of the game until Bret Samboy opened up the offense with an opposite field solo shot in the 4th. Plumitallo followed with a single and was eventually driven in by Brett Nowlin a few batters later.

The Gray's have finally climbed out of their early season 1-6 hole and now sit at 10-10 on the season. They're back at it again Tuesday against the Sox in Somerville.

Brian Maloney dominated on the mound throwing a CG shutout allowing 1 hit and striking out 13. Maloney was nearly unhittable as he continues his dominant 2019.

The Grays offense scored 5 in the first which would prove to be all that was needed. Danny Concessi and Trey Benitez had 3 and 2 hits respectfully and Zac Stiffler drove in 2 run.

Grays win a Saturday morning pitchers duel in Quincy. Brian Maloney and Dan Wilson battled all game with the first hit not coming until the 4th inning. Maloney completed the CG shutout giving up 4 hits and striking out 8.

The Grays we're held hitless by Wilson until the 5th when Phil Carignan singled and stole second. He was moved to 3rd by an Anthony Montone single and driven in by a Rob Prenovitz Sac Fly. The Grays would add 2 more in the 6th but that was more than Maloney needed to even the series up at 1 game apiece.

The Cutters and Grays will face off one more time at the end of August.

Nick Constantine picks up his first MABL win as the Grays keep rolling winning their 3rd straight and 4th in 5 games. Constantine threw a CG allowing 2 earned runs on 5 hits, striking out 6.

Constantine helped himself with the bat as well driving in 2 runs. Jared Walsh continues his torrid pace going 3-4 with 2 runs and an RBI. Tom Plumitallo and Joff Smith each added 2 RBI as the Gray's offense continues to roll.

The Gray's are back in action Sunday afternoon against the Surgeons.

Brian Maloney picks up his 2nd win of the year throwing a CG with 7 K's and 1 earned run. Maloney helped himself with the bat int he 3rd inning driving home his first MABL RBI.

Matt Ferro led the Gray's offense with a towering 2-run home run in his first at bat. He added another RBI on a single in the 4th which was all Maloney needed on the mound. Tom Plumitallo and Jared Walsh added another 3 and 2 hits respectively.

The Gray's are back at it again Tuesday night against the Marlins where the look to finally put their slow start behind them and jump back into a playoff spot.

The Gray's bats stayed hot to help them to an 8-6 victory over the A's in Somerville. Jared Walsh went 3 for 3 from the lead off spot while Tom Plumitallo drove in 4 runs to lead the offense. Joff Smith and Holden French contributed with timely hits driving in 2 each.

Plumitallo got the win although the A's battled all game getting 6 across on the starter. Brian Maloney relieved Plumitallo in the 6th retiring 6 straight batters for the save.

The Grays are back in action Saturday AM against the Cardinals in Quincy.

The Cambridge Spinners completed the season sweep of the South Shore Grays with a 7-5 win. Nick Bonofiglio won his fifth game of the season, pitching four innings with seven strikeouts. Luc Kocher came on in relief for the save.

Down 3-2 in the fifth, the Spinners rallied for four runs. Mike Tufo reached base on one of his three hits and scored on a Nick Sieber single. Pete Allain and Mike Knell drove in runs to give Cambridge the lead for good.

Tom Plumitallo had two hits for the Grays and drove in two runs to lead the South Shore offense. Brian Maloney pitched six innings, striking out ten.

The Gray's offense wakes up for the first time in 2019 leading them to a 6 inning win against the Cardinals in Melrose.

Almost every Gray had a hit, RBI, and run scored. Tom Plumitallo and Bret Samboy drove in 3 and 2 runs respectively while Dave Clarke continually set the table from the leadoff spot getting on base 4 of his 5 at bats.

Plumitallo picked up his first win of 2019 throwing 5 innings but it was the offenses night all around. The Grays look to keep the momentum going when the play the Spinners on Saturday.

A's comeback in extra innings with walk-off win

In a clean game until the 7th, the A's took a 3-2 lead into the final frame. However, The Grays scored a run in the 7th on a fielders choice error to tie the game at 3 with no one out. Breidenstine was able to induce a DP ground out, and record a strikeout to keep the game tied.

In the 8th, the Grays put up 2 runs thanks to 4 hits and a walk. In the bottom of the inning, though, the A's would take advantage of 2 Gray's errors and walk off on a wild pitch to move to 4-2 on the season.

The Grays and A's are both off for the 4th of July. The Grays play next on July 10, and the A's on July 12.

The Spinners won their ninth consecutive game with a 12-0 rout of the South Shore Grays. Colin Sullivan led the offense with three hits and drove in two runs. Nick Sieber and Alex Benson had two hits apiece and Mike Navarro drove in two runs.

Nick Bonofiglio pitched a complete game shut out, giving up two hits while striking out eight.

The Gray's get their first win of the 2019 season behind a dominant pitching performance from Brian Maloney. Maloney threw a CG shutout allowing 2 hits with 9 strikeouts to earn his first ever Gray's win.

Zac Stiffler led the offense going 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. Abel Faron drove in the 2nd RBI of the game in the second inning.

The Gray's will be back in action Thursday June 13th against the Cutters.

The Spinners win their home opener 2-1 over the South Shore Grays. Four Cambridge pitchers combined for the win, allowing just four hits while striking out six. Pat Donahue earned the win and Pat Clapp picked up the save.

Down 1-0 in the fourth, Mark Killoren reached base on a fielder's choice and scored on a Grays error. Gerard Taylor came on as a pinch-hitter in the sixth, drawing a walk and scoring on an RBI double by Nick Sieber.

Tom Plumitallo pitched five innings for South Shore, striking out three. Matt Ferro scored the Grays lone run in the top of the first.
