Cambridge Spinners 9, Boston Sox 0
The Spinners handed the Sox their first loss of the season with a 9-0 victory in Lynn Thursday night. Chris Muse-Fisher earned the win, pitching six innings and striking out ten. Pat Clapp came on in relief in the seventh to retire the side and preserve the shutout.
Cambridge scored in the third when Mike Tufo and Dan Caceres reached base on Boston errors and Tufo scored on a balk. Mark Killoren scored twice and Ryan Feeney drove in two runs. The defense of Ryan Gaffney and Mike Knell helped keep the Sox off the board. |
