Mass Envelope/GM 6, Middlesex Expos 4
Mass Envelope/GM makes it four in a row with a come from behind victory, though this one took some doing as Louis Cespedes stymies the ME/GM bats through 4 innings, allowing just one hit while striking out ten.
Cespedes would add two more Ks in the 5th but not before the ME/GM bats finally figured him out with doubles by Matt Chen, Justine Makimisu, and DC Brown; and singles by Joe Sprake and Curtis Boyd. A sac fly by Emilio Berndt and a mis-played ball in right added up to a six run 5th.
Packy Bradley-Cooney picked up the win with two over-powering innings of relief allowing just one hit while fanning six; Joe Sprake pitched the 7th for the save.
ME/GM alums, Kebler Peralta and John Batista, each had two hits for the Expos. |
