Palmer takes advantage of mistakes and comes through with a win! Quality effort by the pitching staff tonight. James "Moose" Bussiere was given the nod to start and threw 3 innings, struck out 3 and allowed only 1 unearned run. Caleb Piwnicki was handed the torch and struck out 5 in two innings, and allowed the only other run for the Padres. Kyle Zembsch would come in for the 6th & 7th and was able to secure his first win of the year. On a night dominated by pitching runs were scarce to come by. Alex Venditti led off the 2nd inning with a double and was able to score. Gabe Malaret would get on base to lead off the 4th and also managed to score a run. In the 6th Eric Longley roped a single and would score Aidan Hawley on a throwing error.JP Songin then cashed in a big pinch hit that brought in Longley. |
