This was an epic battle between the two best teams in the league. 21 wins is incredible and both teams deserved to win.

The Orioles jumped out to a 3-0 in the first but the Cardinals came right back and tied it at 3 after 1. In the 3rd, the Orioles loaded the bases on 3 straight walks. Steve Paddock then hit one of the hardest balls you will ever see hit and knocked in 2 with the laser beam single. The Orioles scored 4 to go up 7-3.

The Cardinals chipped away and finally tied the game at 8-8 in the 8th.

The score was 8-8 after 9 and it took 2 more innings to settle the championship. Zak Platts and Al Wong both pitched well in relief. Both pitchers ended multiple innings with emotional strike outs pumping up their respective teams.

The Cards outlasted the Orioles with a walk off hit in the bottom of the 11th with 2 outs.

The game was well fought and thank God Ryan Bere was ok after injury.

Other than one embarrassing moment after the game it was well played and well competed.

Legacy Cardinal Scott Johnson (CG, W) survived cardinal errors and bad base running to secure victory. Tony Sanchez (2 H) and Tim Scafidi (HR, 3 RBI) paced the cardinal offense.

Alex Wong (CG, W) and Jay Thomas got the start in Medway. Miskinis, Johnson and Bucciarelli had 2 hits each to pace the cardinals to victory. League Vice President Anthony Perry smiled as he commented that the Perennial Powerhouse Royal's "preseason" is well underway.

Rain held off for the most part in Marlborough as Carlos Moscoso and Chaz Notaro had 2 hits each. The Twins mounted a comeback against the Cards that came up just short.

Dan Tessier and Andrew Quinn each struck out 9 on Fathers Day. Jeff Quinn was one of 4 Cardinals with a double has the Stephen's park monster came into play.

This began as a classic pitching dual between Quinn and Begin as both pitchers were dominant. Tim Scafidi went yard for a 2 run blast to give the cardinals a lead they would not relinquish. A Quinn and Scafidi had 3 hits each as Oricco continued to break bats. Tommy "OG" Langmeyer closed out the game. Matt Ryan hit a bomb in the late innings for the Tigers and Ray Begin added two hits to help his own cause.

Game 2 saw Legacy Cardinal Mark "Beto" Cullen defend his amazing perfect ERA streak that dates back to 2014 in the MWABL. MVP candidate J Quinn continued to Roll but not to be outdone as little brother Andrew had 3 hits. Rotolo, Sanchez, Scafidi and Bucciarelli had 2 RBI a piece. Captain and Fellow Legacy Cardinal, Scotty Johnson walked off the game with a hit.

In Game one of a twin bill, Andrew Quinn SO 12 walked 2 and allowed 1 hit over 5 for the win while T. Sanchez, S. Hise and J. Quinn added 2 hits each to pace the offense. After much adversity, the team settled down under interim coach Quinn's direction.

The best effort of the day came from the Algonquin grounds crew as the teams fought through several rain delays. Tommy Langmeyer returned to his old form as he dueled a tenacious Braves lineup. Romar Silvestre stepped in to provide a defensive anchor behind the plate. Early MVP candidate, Jeff Quinn and Tim Scafidi paced a determined Cardinals offense to the victory.

Pitching continued to be the story of 2019 as this was a very well pitched game by both teams. Ray Begin and Andrew Quinn broke bats and scattered hits. Eddie Wissekerke paced the Tigers with 2 RBI while "Deuces" Jeff Quinn had 2 runs, 2 hits, 2 RBI and a 2-bagger to pace the Cards. One of the 15 batters for the Cards was Alex Wong who also showed that he may be able to pitch at this level. The brightest spot of the day was the return of cardinals Legacy Player Tom Langmeyer. Fans saw Tommy Hit well and Run down balls like it was 2009.

This game featured 6 innings of 0-0 baseball! Great pitching and defense on display all over the field. Living Ledgend, John Beloff turned back the clock and much like Tiger Woods triumphed over time and pressure and out dueled the twins. On the day that many of the cardinal regulars attended CY Young and MVP, winner Andrew Quinn's Nuptials, AJ Bucciarelli led the Cardinal reserves with 3 hits to hang on for the victory.
