Scotty Isaacs (1-3, 2b, 2 RBI) two run double in the 1st & Papa Bear Eric Bennett rbi single in the 2nd give Giants an early 6-1 lead that proved to be the difference. Matty McMillan (7 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 2 Ks) picks up the win going 5 strong & Bobby Gibbons picks up his 1st MSBL save in relief. The Cardinals chipped away for runs in the 3rd, 4th, two in the 5th, and threatened to tie the game in both the 6th and 7th, but left the tying run stranded at third with Gibbons inducing groundouts to end both innings. For the Cards, Jose Toledano had two hits and Juan Mendoza pitched well in relief, striking out 9 over 4 innings.
