In one of the wildest games in finals history, the Cambridge Spinners beat the Boston Sox 11-7 in Game 3 after eight innings and four days of play. Down 6-0 early, the Spinners rallied for three runs in the third and fourth innings and forced extra innings with a run in the sixth.

With rain coming in the eighth, Matt Gioia hit a bases-clearing triple to give Cambridge the lead for the first time. Ryan Gaffney had three hits and drove in three runs. Cambridge recorded eight doubled against Boston pitching.

Pat Clapp got the win in relief, pitching three innings with two strikeouts. Pat Donahue started the game, striking out two.

The Sox offense was led by Ryan Foley, who had three hits and scored three runs.

The Cambridge Spinners take game one of the finals 4-2 over the Boston Sox in Lynn. Down 2-1 in the seventh, the Spinners rallied for three runs to take the lead. Mike Navarro hit a bases loaded single and drove in two runs to put Cambridge in front. Ryan Feeney reached base on a walk and scored on an error for an insurance run.

Chris Muse-Fisher got the win, going six innings and striking out eight. Pat Clapp came on in relief for the save.

Moises Maza and Ryan Foley scored both Sox runs in the fifth and Hector Ramirez pitched a complete game with ten strikeouts.

For the fourth year in a row, the Cambridge Spinners are in the finals. They punched their ticket with an 8-0 win over the Middleboro Red Sox, winning the series in a three game sweep.

The Spinners broke the game open in the fourth with plate patience and timely hitting. Colin Sullivan singled and drove in a run to
start the scoring and Ryan Feeney ripped a bases-loaded triple and drove in three of his four runs on the game.

Pat Donahoe pitched six shutout innings, giving up just two hits while striking out three. Nolan Pandolfi came on in relief in the seventh and kept the Red Sox off the board.

The Spinners will now face the Boston Sox in the finals.

The Spinners outslugged the Red Sox 18-10 to take game two of their semifinal series and can clinch a championship birth with a win on Wednesday night.

Mike Knell had two doubles and scored three runs and Ryan Feeney collected three hits to lead the offense. Down 3-0 in the third, Cambridge erupted for six runs. Mark Killoren drove in two runs in the inning to spark the offense,

Chris Muse-Fisher earned the winning, pitching four innings and striking out six. The Spinners now lead the series 2-0.

The Cambridge Spinners take game one of the semifinal series 3-2 over the Middleboro Red Sox to take 1-0 series lead. Luc Kocher pitched six innings, giving up two runs on seven hits with a pair of strikeouts. Pat Clapp came on in relief for the save.

All the Cambridge runs came in the first inning. Colin Sullivan had his first of three hits, driving in a run and Ryan Feeney singled and drove in two. The defense kept Middleboro off the board the rest of the game.

The Red Sox scored in the top of the first inning. Brett Labonte and Thomas Leanne singled and Zachary Walker doubled in both runs. Nick Radcliffe pitched a complete game with six strikeouts.

The Cambridge Spinners closed out the regular season with an 8-3 win over the Middleboro Red Sox, locking up the second seed in the playoffs and a first round bye.

Mike Navarro led the offense with three hits and three runs batted in, while Mike Knell and Mark Killoren each contributed three hits.

Four Cambridge pitchers contributed to the win and were led by Pat Donahoe, who pitched three shutout innings with four strikeouts.

AJ Abreu scored for the Red Sox in the fifth to put Middleboro on the board. Nick Radcliffe and Brett Labonte scored in the sixth.

In an extra inning thriller in Malden, the Spinners outlasted the Cutters 2-1. Gerard Taylor walked in the eighth inning and scored the game-winning run on a Ryan Feeney sacrifice fly. The win gives Cambridge a first round bye in next month's playoffs.

The Cutters tallied the game's first run in the third, when Jake Eberle singled and scored on a Dan Wilson sac fly.

The Spinners tied the game in the sixith when Mike Knell walked, stole a base and scored on a Mark Killoren double. Cambridge put two runners on base in the seventh but Waltham pitching and defense kept them off the board.

The Spinners finish the season Tuesday against the Middleboro Red Sox. The Cutters must win one of their next two games against the Red Sox or the Boston Sox to make the playoffs.

The Spinners completed their season sweep of the Singing Surgeons 11-2 in Malden. Pat Donahoe earned the win, pitching four shutout innings with six strikeouts. Ben Russell pitched the last three innings in relief to secure the win.

Colin Sullivan paced the offense with two doubles and two runs batted in, while Mark Killoren doubled and scored twice. Eight different players in the Camrbidge lineup drove in runs and a big fourth inning broke an otherwise close game wide open.

Peter Jones had two hits and scored for the Singing Surgeons while Brandon Staples pitched three scoreless innings with two strikeouts.

Backed by a four-run third inning and four double plays, the Cambridge Spinners won their fourth in a row 4-1 over the Waltham Cutters. Luc Kocher pitched six innings, giving up one run on seven hits while striking out five. Pat Clapp came on in relief for the save.

Down 1-0 in the third, Bobby Maccioli was hit by a pitch and advanced to third on a Matt Gioia double. Mark Killoren and Mike Knell drove in the first two Cambridge runs and Collin Sullivan capped the rally with a two-run single. Killoren stayed red hot at the plate, going 3 for 3 hitting.

Craig Bourassa scored the lone Waltham run, scoring on a Jay Thomas single in the top of the third.

The Spinners rolled to their second straight mercy rule win 11-1 Thursday in Waltham. Colin Sullivan was 2 for 3 hitting with a double, a triple and four runs batted in. Luc Kocher also went 2 for 3 hitting with a double and scored twice. Bob Maccioli drove in two runs of his own to keep the Cambridge offensive juggernaut rolling.

Chris Muse-Fisher continued his great season on the mound. He went five innings, giving up just one run on one hit while striking out six. Nolan Pandolfi closed out the game in relief in the sixth.

Rob MacDonald scored the lone run for the Cutters in the fourth with a double and later scored on a wild pitch.

The Spinners won their second in a row and their fourth game of the season by mercy rule 17-2 Sunday in Malden. Ryan Gaffney drove in three runs on a double in the second inning and a two-run home run in the third. Mike Knell hit a double and a triple and drove in three runs and Mike Navarro drove in three runs of his own.

Luc Kocher got the win, going four innings, giving up just five hits while striking out two.

The Singing Surgeons scored their lone runs in the fifth inning. Jack Stockless drove in a run on a fielder's choice and Ken Manero tripled to drive in the Surgeon's second run of the inning.

The Spinners found their winning ways Sunday, shutting out the Dodgers 7-0 in Malden. Pat Donahoe pitched five innings, striking out six and reliever Nolan Pandolfi kept the Dodgers off the board the rest of the way.

Cambridge scored four times in the fourth, thanks to plate patients and Newton pitching mistakes. Colin Sullivan scored twice and Mike Navarro scored a run, despite being plunked twice by Dodger pitching. MIke Knell's lead off double in the fifth sparked a three run Spinner inning in the fifth. Mark Killoren and Mike Tufo had sacrifice flies and RBIs.

Four Dodgers had hits in the losing effort.

The Sox closed out the win of the season series with the Spinners with a commanding 7-3 win at Maplewood. Omar Ortiz continued a torrid pace at the plate with two RBI from his 2 for 3 night and the Sox advanced aggressively on the bases in front of him, stealing 6 total bases.
Gabriel Ramirez earned a league leading 6th win going the distance, scattering 6 hits, 3 walks, and 2 earned runs, striking out 6.

The Spinners top the A's in their second meeting of the season. The Spinners offense was led by Gaffney, Allain and Salvia, all of which were 3 for 3 on the night (Allain 2 doubles). Spins would get their first run in the 1st inning off a Gaffney 2 out single and would put up 7 more runs in the 3rd. That would be plenty for CMF - who threw a 2 hit shut out, striking out 8. Spinners finished the night with a total of 10 runs leading a shortened game.

Next up for the Spinners is the rubber match with the Sox on Friday night.

Sox avenge their only loss of the season with a 3-1 win over the Spinners at St Peter’s Field in Cambridge. Jon Shepard was brilliant going the distance for the Sox striking out 9 and allowing only one run. Javy Santana paced the offense for the Sox going 3 for 4 with a line drive solo home run to left center.

Chris Muse Fisher posted another strong outing despite taking his first loss of the season striking out 6 in 5 innings of work.

Sox return to the diamond on July 9th after the 4th of July break against the Middleboro Red Sox in Roslindale.

Thanks to a big third inning and great pitching from two-time Cy Young winner Luc Kocher, the Spinners beat the Red Sox 7-4. Kocher went five and two thirds innings, striking out seven.

Danny Caceres got the third inning going with a double and later scored on a Colin Sullivan triple. Two Middleboro fielding errors kept the rally going and Mike Tufo drove in two runs. Ryan Gaffney drove in a run on the second of his two hits to keep Cambridge out in front.

The Red Sox rallied in the fifth with a double, driving in Will Ferdinand. TJ Brogle then doubled scoring another run. The Sox sent eight runners to the plate in the sixth with Evan Chand and Nick Radcliffe scoring to cut the Spinners lead.

Radcliffe pitched a complete game for Middleboro, striking out six.

The Spinners outlasted the Grays 11-6 Saturday in Quincy. Colletta Field proved to be a tough venue for both teams, as both sides made eight combined errors. However, it was the Cambridge bats that made the difference.

Mark Killoren and Bobby Maccioli led the Spinners with three hits apiece and each drove in a run. Mike Navarro scored twice and Dan Caceres drove in two runs.

Ryan Feeney earned the win on the mound, going 3.2 innings, giving up four earned runs in five hits while striking out three. Austin Arnold and Pat Clapp came on in relief to preserve the win.

South Shore scored three runs in the first to take an early lead and their offense was led by Phil Carignan, who scored twice for the Grays.

The Spinners handed the Sox their first loss of the season with a 9-0 victory in Lynn Thursday night. Chris Muse-Fisher earned the win, pitching six innings and striking out ten. Pat Clapp came on in relief in the seventh to retire the side and preserve the shutout.

Cambridge scored in the third when Mike Tufo and Dan Caceres reached base on Boston errors and Tufo scored on a balk. Mark Killoren scored twice and Ryan Feeney drove in two runs. The defense of Ryan Gaffney and Mike Knell helped keep the Sox off the board.

Ryan Gaffney drove in two runs and made outstanding plays with the glove at first base. Bobby Maccioli doubled and drove in a run, as did Joe Tufo. Colin Sullivan drove in a run in the fifth to cap the scoring.

Four different Red Sox had hits in the losing effort for Middleboro.

A's OVER SPINNERS IN PITCHER'S DUEL

The Spinners jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 1st. Gioia singled, stole 2nd, and scored on a Knell groundout.

They added a 2nd run in the 4th. Killoren towered a double to left. Feeney then hit a single to right center to plate Killoren.

But the A's struck for 3 in the 6th. Muollo was hit by a pitch. M. Asdornvuttikrai and McIntyre walked. And a few wild pitches led to Muollo and Asdornvuttikrai scoring. B. O'Keefe then legged out an infield single to plate McIntyre for the winning run.

Breidenstine shut the door in the 7th to cap off the win. He struck out 6 Spinners in 3 innings of work, and the lone blemish was a hit by pitch.

The Cambridge Spinners began their 2018 campaign in dramatic fashion with a 4-3 come from behind win. Down 3-2 in the sixth inning, pinch hitter Luc Kocher singled and pinch-runner Joe Tufo scored on a Colin Sullivan double. The Spinners loaded the bases in the seventh and Mike Knell drove in the winning run.

Pat Clapp earned the win in relief, going two innings giving up one hit while striking out two. Chris Muse-Fisher started for the Spinners, giving up three runs on four hits while striking out ten.

Tom Plumitallo pitched six innings for the Grays, striking out eight. Jared Walsh, Dave Clarke and Anthony Montone scoring in the third inning to take a 3-2 lead.

Ricky Salvia scored in the first inning on a Mark Killoren double and Sullivan scored on a Greg Megerdichian single in the second.
