For the fourth year in a row, the Cambridge Spinners are in the finals. They punched their ticket with an 8-0 win over the Middleboro Red Sox, winning the series in a three game sweep. The Spinners broke the game open in the fourth with plate patience and timely hitting. Colin Sullivan singled and drove in a run to start the scoring and Ryan Feeney ripped a bases-loaded triple and drove in three of his four runs on the game. Pat Donahoe pitched six shutout innings, giving up just two hits while striking out three. Nolan Pandolfi came on in relief in the seventh and kept the Red Sox off the board. The Spinners will now face the Boston Sox in the finals.

The Spinners outslugged the Red Sox 18-10 to take game two of their semifinal series and can clinch a championship birth with a win on Wednesday night. Mike Knell had two doubles and scored three runs and Ryan Feeney collected three hits to lead the offense. Down 3-0 in the third, Cambridge erupted for six runs. Mark Killoren drove in two runs in the inning to spark the offense, Chris Muse-Fisher earned the winning, pitching four innings and striking out six. The Spinners now lead the series 2-0.

The Cambridge Spinners take game one of the semifinal series 3-2 over the Middleboro Red Sox to take 1-0 series lead. Luc Kocher pitched six innings, giving up two runs on seven hits with a pair of strikeouts. Pat Clapp came on in relief for the save. All the Cambridge runs came in the first inning. Colin Sullivan had his first of three hits, driving in a run and Ryan Feeney singled and drove in two. The defense kept Middleboro off the board the rest of the game. The Red Sox scored in the top of the first inning. Brett Labonte and Thomas Leanne singled and Zachary Walker doubled in both runs. Nick Radcliffe pitched a complete game with six strikeouts.

The Cambridge Spinners closed out the regular season with an 8-3 win over the Middleboro Red Sox, locking up the second seed in the playoffs and a first round bye. Mike Navarro led the offense with three hits and three runs batted in, while Mike Knell and Mark Killoren each contributed three hits. Four Cambridge pitchers contributed to the win and were led by Pat Donahoe, who pitched three shutout innings with four strikeouts. AJ Abreu scored for the Red Sox in the fifth to put Middleboro on the board. Nick Radcliffe and Brett Labonte scored in the sixth.

The Gray's win in come back fashion scoring 3 in the 7th. Bret Samboy got his first start of the year throwing 3 2/3 innings. Samboy ran into some trouble in the 4th as the Red Sox strung together 4 hits, plating 5. Tom Plumitallo helped close out the 4th and Matt Ferro shut the door the rest of the way, throwing 3 scoreless innings striking out 5. Ferro led the Gray's offense scoring 2 runs on 3 hits. Holden French also picked up 3 hits including a clutch single in the 7th to keep the Gray's rally alive. Phil Carignan, Trey Benitez and Zac Stiffler all added hits in the 7th allowing the Gray's to take the lead for good. Ferro had no problem closing the door in the bottom of the 7th but got some help from Rob Prenovitz who made an incredible diving play to end the game. The Gray's seem to be clicking at the right time and will test that against the Sox this Saturday.

The A's got a much needed victory over the Red Sox on a beautiful Friday night at Nipper. The Athletics were led on the mound by Brett O'Keefe, who threw a CG, surrendering 2 ER and striking out 7 in the effort. The A's would score in the 4th, taking advantage of a Red Sox error, and a SAC fly by Buddha. They'd get another in the 5th when Krall drove in MacNeil through a drawn in infield. The Red Sox tied it up in the 6th when Bill Ferdinand walked, and the meat of the Red Sox order would drive runs in, with RBI singles by Letourneau and Lannan. The Athletics would put one more across in the 6th, thanks to a hit by Muollo, an error on a stolen base attempt, and a hit by Warren Asdron. Rookie Matt MacNeil led the Athletics offense going 2-3 with a double and a run. Ferrazani threw well in the loss, and Lannan made some nice plays in the field, while tallying a key RBI hit for the Red Sox.

Boston Sox kicked off 4 games in 7 days with a lackluster effort at Healy Field in Roslindale resulting in a 6-6 tie with the Middleboro Red Sox. Yunior Gonzalez contributed a big two out single plating two runners to take the lead early but the Red Sox continued to chip away with patient at bats and timely late hitting to tie the game. A trio of Red Sox pitchers were able to keep the Boston Sox off balance at the plate, allowing only 5 hits and striking out 8 over 6 innings. Game called after 6 innings due to Healy Field light rules.

The Gray's respond to Saturday's loss with a full team win against the Red Sox in Roslindale. Tom Plumitallo picked up the win throwing 6 1/3 giving up 3 earned and striking out 7. Dave Clarke came into a bases loaded one out situation in the 7th and quickly got a double play to pick up his first save of the year. Bret Samboy and Abel Faron led the offense with 2 and 1 RBI respectively with 2 hits each. Trey Benitez sealed the win in the 6th with a 2 out, 2 RBI double to give the Grays a much needed cushion. The Grays end the first half of the year at 6-6 knowing their bats haven't even begun to wake up. They get over a week off before taking on the Cutters on July 10th.

Thanks to a big third inning and great pitching from two-time Cy Young winner Luc Kocher, the Spinners beat the Red Sox 7-4. Kocher went five and two thirds innings, striking out seven. Danny Caceres got the third inning going with a double and later scored on a Colin Sullivan triple. Two Middleboro fielding errors kept the rally going and Mike Tufo drove in two runs. Ryan Gaffney drove in a run on the second of his two hits to keep Cambridge out in front. The Red Sox rallied in the fifth with a double, driving in Will Ferdinand. TJ Brogle then doubled scoring another run. The Sox sent eight runners to the plate in the sixth with Evan Chand and Nick Radcliffe scoring to cut the Spinners lead. Radcliffe pitched a complete game for Middleboro, striking out six.

The Spinners knotched their second straight shutout win with a 5-0 victory over the Red Sox. Luc Kocher went five innings, giving up just four hits while striking out three. He helped his own cause with a 1 for 3 night at the plate. Ryan Gaffney drove in two runs and made outstanding plays with the glove at first base. Bobby Maccioli doubled and drove in a run, as did Joe Tufo. Colin Sullivan drove in a run in the fifth to cap the scoring. Four different Red Sox had hits in the losing effort for Middleboro.
