In an extra inning thriller in Malden, the Spinners outlasted the Cutters 2-1. Gerard Taylor walked in the eighth inning and scored the game-winning run on a Ryan Feeney sacrifice fly. The win gives Cambridge a first round bye in next month's playoffs.

The Cutters tallied the game's first run in the third, when Jake Eberle singled and scored on a Dan Wilson sac fly.

The Spinners tied the game in the sixith when Mike Knell walked, stole a base and scored on a Mark Killoren double. Cambridge put two runners on base in the seventh but Waltham pitching and defense kept them off the board.

The Spinners finish the season Tuesday against the Middleboro Red Sox. The Cutters must win one of their next two games against the Red Sox or the Boston Sox to make the playoffs.

Backed by a four-run third inning and four double plays, the Cambridge Spinners won their fourth in a row 4-1 over the Waltham Cutters. Luc Kocher pitched six innings, giving up one run on seven hits while striking out five. Pat Clapp came on in relief for the save.

Down 1-0 in the third, Bobby Maccioli was hit by a pitch and advanced to third on a Matt Gioia double. Mark Killoren and Mike Knell drove in the first two Cambridge runs and Collin Sullivan capped the rally with a two-run single. Killoren stayed red hot at the plate, going 3 for 3 hitting.

Craig Bourassa scored the lone Waltham run, scoring on a Jay Thomas single in the top of the third.

The Spinners rolled to their second straight mercy rule win 11-1 Thursday in Waltham. Colin Sullivan was 2 for 3 hitting with a double, a triple and four runs batted in. Luc Kocher also went 2 for 3 hitting with a double and scored twice. Bob Maccioli drove in two runs of his own to keep the Cambridge offensive juggernaut rolling.

Chris Muse-Fisher continued his great season on the mound. He went five innings, giving up just one run on one hit while striking out six. Nolan Pandolfi closed out the game in relief in the sixth.

Rob MacDonald scored the lone run for the Cutters in the fourth with a double and later scored on a wild pitch.

The As and Cutters battle it out (as always) but the Cutters end up on top 4-3 walk off style.

The Cutters jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 1st thanks to Mike Galvin double and Brett Fundell sac fly. The As score single runs in the middle innings to take a 3-2 lead.

The Cutters loaded em up in the 7th. After Steve Walsh drew a bases loaded walk, Tim Varakis brought home the winning run w a sac fly.

Jason Kurtz took the CG loss and Dan Wilson won in relief.

The Dodgers came from behind to top the Cutters 9-5 at Nipper Field under the lights in Waltham. Collantino went the distance on the hill for the Dodgers who batted around and tallied up 8 runs in the 6th to score the victory. Wilson hit two doubles for the Cutters. Hersh, Hall, Cahill, and Cumming all contributed RBI's for the Dodgers. The game snaps a rough losing streak for the Dodgers as they look to regain their footing and make a run for playoff qualification.

The Grays win the season series against the Cutters in walk-off fashion. With 2 outs and the bases loaded in the 7th, Dave Clarke stepped to the plate and ripped a full-count single to left driving in the tying and game winnings runs.

Tom Plumitallo threw a CG picking up his 3rd win of the year. Matt Ferro launched an rocket of a home run in the 4th for his first of the year.

The Cutters got to Plumitallo in the 5th for 2 runs and battled to get one across in the 7th to take a 3-2 lead before Clarke sealed the game for the Grays. Dan Wilson threw a solid 7 innings for the Cutters.

The Grays are back in action Wednesday against the Snappers.

Grays win. Jared Walsh picks up his 4th win of the year throwing 4 strong innings. Matt Ferro held the Cutters in check in relief and Tom Plumitallo picked up his first save of the year.

Zac Stiffler led the offense with reaching base in all 3 of his at bats including 2 hits.

The Cutters tested the Grays in the 5th inning, putting multiple men on base but Joff Smith kept the Grays lead alive by throwing out 2 base runners at the plate. The Cutters and Grays meet Saturday for the rubber match of the series.

A’s move to 4-2 behind the arm of O’Keefe with a 3-0 win over Cutters

Brett O’Keefe threw a CG shutout, tallying 7 K’s while surrendering only 6 hits. The A’s got on the board in the 2nd on a Will Wilde RBI double. Brian Balise added some insurance in the 6th with a 2 RBI single. The Cutters threatened in the 7th but O’Keefe slammed the door for the CG win.

Fundell had an impressive game for the Cutters, going 3-3 with a double. Dan Wilson threw welll but took the loss.

Dan Wilson throws the complete game with 8 K's and only 1 walk. Dodgers load the bases in the 2nd but couldn't score in large part because of a ground ball that deflects off diving third basemans glove and goes to short, where Galvin grabs it then throws behind the runner at third where Wilson was to snatch it and apply the tag. Rookie Brett Thornton leads off with a double in the 5th and scores the only run of the game on fellow rookie Jake Eberle's RBI single.
