Mike Smith turns in a gritty performance, throwing all 10 innings for the Spartans and surrendering just 1 earned run on a Lightbody HR in the 1st. Smith's 2nd win of the series capped off a run of 17 innings pitched while allowing only 1 earned run over that span. The Spartan bats came alive in the top of the 10th. Cleary lead off with a walk and Stande reached on an error. The next 4 Spartan hitters had hits, capped off by a 2-run bases loaded single off the bat of Frank Alexopoulos to open things up. Hats off to the Bombers for a great battle that took extra frames to decide the series winner.
