The Bulldogs won a nail biter 1-0 over the Melrose Americans. Starting pitcher Tim Woods picked up the victory going 6 strong of shut out baseball with 2 strikeouts and 3 walks. Woods commanded the zone all game and utilized his defense.
It was shutout baseball until the bottom of the fifth inning when Josh Drew led off the inning with a single. Next batter was Corbin Hyde who ripped a triple down the right field line to plate Drew and the Bulldogs would take the 1-0 lead. Jack Burke picked up his first save striking out one batter.
