Lexington wins historic fifth consecutive Intercity League championship with a 10-0 shutout of Andre at Lexington High School Tuesday night.
Jeff Vigurs lead the 10-hit attack with a 4-for-4 night and three RBI. Justin Wright and Dan Graham each had two hits. Wright, Graham and Steve Gath each scored twice.
Drew Brzozowski won his second game in the finals with a complete game three hit shutout. He struck out five and retired the last seven batters.
Andre starter Tim Dunphy took the loss pitching four innings, giving up seven hits, six runs, four earned, a walk and three strike outs.

Mike Barbati's single up the middle drove in pinch runner Andy Cavanaugh with the winning run to keep Andre alive in the finals.
Matt Boleski homered to start off the seventh. Paul Yanakopulos had an RBI triple and scored the tying run on Justin Crisafulli's single.
Lexington took a 4-1 lead in the top of the seventh getting RBI from Steve Gath (sac fly), Jeff Vigurs (fielders choice) and Ross Curley (single).

Tommy Haugh, Dan Capra and Jeff Vigurs each drove in two runs for the Blue Sox.
Drew Brzozowski, 1-0, pitched a complete game for the win. He scattered nine hits, struck out seven and walked one.
Tim Dunphy, 3-1, took his first loss of the playoffs. In 4.1 innings he gave up 11 hits and five runs.

Game Summary:
Karl Alexander spun a neat six-hiiter, striking out seven, to give the Reds a 1-0 lead in the best of three series. The Reds scored three times in the top of the fourth inning erasing a 1-0 Chiefs lead on a Mike Giordano single, two Chiefs errors (one on the back end of a doubleplay ball that was thrown away), a hit batsman, a wild pitch, and a sacrifice fly from Luke Begley. Begley recorded his second RBI in the Reds' sixth when his infield grounder scored Brendan Casey who had singled.

The Chiefs lone run came on a bases loaded walk to Nick Leva in the second inning. Matt Boleski had two of the Chiefs six hits and Steve Busby added a double for the Reds.

Game Summary:
The Merchants clinch second place and a bye in the final regular season game of the year. Wakefield took advantage of Chiefs wildness and infield error at first base, to score three times in the fifth inning, without a hit. Freni issued one out walks to Andy Hartung and Jon Davison, before Bob Losanno reached on and error by at first. Freni struck out Brooks Townsend for the second out, before a wild pitch allowed Hartung to score the tying run. Scott Searles and Mike Sorerntino both walked to force in another run to give the Merchants a 2-1 lead. Rob Machado replaced Freni and walked Lorenzo Papa, the 5th walk issued in the inning, forcing in Losanno.

Darren Bisso (6-2) kept the Chiefs bats quiet all night allowing 3 hits, 2 to Jeff Bercume & an infield single by Mike Andre. Sorrentino & Townsend had the 2 Wakefield hits.

The Chiefs scored six times in the bottom of the first inning with Matt Boleski's third homer of the season, a three run shot, as the key. Mike Baillargeon had a RBI double in the inning and Justin Crisafulli had a RBI single. Boleski knocked in the Chiefs final two runs with a sixth inning single, giving him five RBI's in the game. Tony Deshler had two hits for the Chiefs as Jared Freni recorded his fifth win of the season.

Game Summary:
Chiefs veteran lefty Tim Dunphy (2-0) gets the complete game win for the Chiefs. Dunphy, who pitched five innings on Wednesday, allowed eight hits and struck out one. Mike Andre (2-4, double, 2 RBI), Vinny Pennell(2 RBI single) and Justin Crisafulli (2-4, double) led the Chiefs 10 hit offense. Morgan Brown and Danny Binz had a couple of hits each for the Trojans.

In the game, Crisafulli became the all-time Chiefs hit leader, when he drilled a double off the fence in the third inning. Crisafulli surpassed former Chiefs first baseman Mike Langston and now has 540 hits in his Chiefs career.

Game Summary:
The Merchants rallied for three runs with one out and nobody on in the seventh. Steve Langone drew a 3-2 walk and Lorenzo Papa singled. Veteran Andy Hartung then greeted reliever Mike DiCato with a long triple to left giving the Merchants a 2-1 lead. Dale Crispin drove home Hartung with a single to account for the 3-1 final.

Kevin Flight (1-0) was outstanding for Wakefield, allowing three hits and an unearned run, while striking out four.

Game Summary: Trojans beat the Chiefs for the third time in three tries. Mike Griffin went 6.2 innings to get the win. Peter Creamer and Don Walter had back to back first inning doubles and Nick Napoli had a two run homer in the fourth inning. What proved to be the winning run was scored by Kevin Hart, who singled, went to second on an errant pick-off attempt, to third on a Eddie McDonald infield single and eventually scored on a Keith Forbes wild pitch. Justin Crisafulli went three for four, including his 89th career homer in the 7th.

Arlington southpaw Brendan Harding rasied his record to 2-0, tossing a one-hit shutout as the Trojans beat the Chiefs 2-0 at Tufts University. Arlington scored the games only runs in the top of the first inning on a Pete Creamer single, a Jim Roche double and a Don Walter single, all with two outs.

Harding only allowed a second inning single to Dave Scioli. Mike DiCato (0-1) was the hard luck loser, allowing only six hits. The game took only one hour and eighteen minutes to complete.
