Hurricane CF Jason H made took away multiple extra base hits and RF Hector took at least a 2B away with a sprinting catch in a key spot. In a sun-baked noon game at Colonel Charles Young Field at 145th & Lennox Ave, Silly sizzled, Pines prevailed and Crash cashed in his chips as the Shaskys held off the hard-luck Hurricanes, 11-1. With 9 Ks and 1 ER in 7 IP, Pines continued his streak of well pitched games. Knuckles, Chuck and Fenders played a flawless outfield, while Cyclone and Coach anchored the infield. Kate and Rachel held the fort unitl Mugsy arrived to spell a dented Fenders... A game to watch is next week's Green Machine vs Shasky matchup, as the Shaskys are contemplating playing in g-strings; league approval pending... Off the field: Flip will be on the DL for 6 wks with disc trouble. We ask that all league players embrace his persona.
