Russ Ward and Mike Connelly lock up in a classic pitchers duel until the 5th inning when the Metro Red Sox come up with 4 runs highlighted by Ellis's bases clearing double. In the bottom of the 5th Mike Williams cuts into the Sox lead with a 2 run triple to pull the Jays within 1 run. In the 6th inning with 2 men on Mike Williams comes through again in the clutch with a monster 3 run homer to win the game. Mike Williams finishes the game with 2 hits and 5 rbi. With Acton up 2-0 in the 6th inning with 2 runners in scoring position Mike Williams delivered a 1 out basehit to tie the score. In the bottom of the 7th Dominic Sesito tripled to right center with 1 out to get things started. Paul Calvi then hit a ground ball to second with the infield drawn in to score the winning run.
