Lugnuts take the American League MSBL title !!! Jim Carmilia had a "STUD" performance on the mound for the Lugs going 7 IP with 11 K's and 1 BB for the win. Paul Laurin went all 9 innings for the Thunder and in typical "Laurin" fashion he fanned 13 Lugnuts with his exceptional fastball. Jeff Mann saved his best performance of the year for playoff time on the mound. A no hitter was broken up by the A's in the 6th inning. Outstanding and in command all night he finished a complete game win to send the Lugnuts to the finals for the MSBL American Series next week. Tough end to a great season for the Brockton A's as they have once again demonstrated they are a team with CLASS and RESPECT. In a well played game by both teams, Doug Chase pitched a complete game shut for the Brewers to pick-up the win. Both teams played great defense and the pitching was outstanding. The winning run was scored in the second inning when Jason Ignacio lead off with a double and Chip Guiney drove him in with a single to right.
