Dan Shanahan held a potent Dodger lineup to two runs in a complete game performance. The Giants scored one in the bottom of the first on an RBI single by Steve Coyle. They picked up three in the second on an RBI double by Joe Albano off the left field fence and heads up baserunning by Steve Corda, who scored from first base on a single by Jeff Decoteau.
The dodgers got on the board after a mammoth shot off the bat of Fabian Alicea landed him at third base. He then scored on an infield single.

Shanahan and Albano carried the Giants. Gonzalez hits a triple well over 400 feet.

The Metrowest Duel Part 2.......As the Giants and Bluefish matched up in another highly contested pitcher's duel, this time between 6 game winner Chris O'Sullivan and 3-0 Steve Corda. O'Sullivan was the victor this time, going 6 1-3 innings allowing 4 hits, 2 runs, while walking 4 and striking out 9. The Bluefish snapped a 11 inning scoreless streak in the bottom of the 5th on a Chris Harrington Sac Fly, tying the game at 1. Jeff Decoteau then hit a 2 out Double down the left field line to give the Giants a 2-1 lead. Bottom of the 6th, bases loaded 1 out, Jeremy Creveling hit a 2 run double just out of the reach of a diving Mike Byrne, giving the Bluefish a 3-2 lead. Kit Kadlec recorded the last 2 outs for his 2nd save of the year. Steve Corda pitched very well in defeat for the Giants, allowing 6 hits and 3 runs over 6 innings of work, with 10 strikeouts.

Joe Albano threw a three-hit shutout in his second outing of the season to improve to 2-0 on the year. All of the scoring came in the 6th on one swing of the bat by Steve Corda. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Corda delivered a triple to the fence scoring both runners and scored himself on an errant throw. Other offense came from Dan Dileo, who delivered a 3-hit performance. The Giants improve to 11-9 on the year.
Bart Lawyer had 2 hits for the Bluefish and Bill Beauchesne delivered an outstanding performance on the mound.

Albano and Corda delivered for the Giants and Lawyer provided two hits for the Bluefish

For a dollah twenty five to get there and back, the Indians traveled out to Worcester and defeated the G-men, 4-3, in a close game at Tivnan Field.

Jason DeVeau pitched six solid innings to pick up the W, while Daryl Pina threw a 1-2-3 seventh for the save. Trailing 3-2 in the top of the sixth, the Tribe loaded the bases with no outs. Marco Abreu slapped a single to right to tie things up and two batters later Justin Rothwell hit a sac fly to right to plate Nick Bondola w/the go ahead run.

Steve Corda pitched well for the Giants, holding the Indians at bay for most of the game.

Joe Albano, in his 2004 pitching debut, tossed a complete game victory with 12 K's. Offensively the Giants were led by Dan Shanahan and Nate Green who each collected two hits and 2 RBIS to put the Giants record to 10-8.

Matt Giblin accounted for the 2 White Sox runs with a 2-RBI single in the 5th.

Albano fires a complete game while Green and Shanahan led the offense for the Giants

Jeff Decoteau got the win and Sean Turnin got the save for the Giants who improved to 9-8. Evan McNamara delivered the big blow on offense delivering a bases loaded triple in the third.

Ken Kilduff pitched a complete game 3 hit shutout, striking out 9. Tim Troville gave the Yankees all the runs they would need in the third with a 2-run double. Ned Coffee improved on his league leading average by going 2-3. Dan Shanahan pitched well in defeat for the Giants. It was a well played game as neither team committed an error.

Dan Petro struck out 13 Giants while walking one and giving up just three hits. With the complete game victory, Petro moves to 5-0. Jason Piskator was the tough-luck loser for the Giants as he held the Dodgers to 2 runs.
