Kevin McGowan got the win in this bizarre game, fittingly played under a full moon, pitching a complete game allowing 1 ER behind a good offensive showing from the A's.

The A's bats came alive early, scoring 3 runs in the 2nd on a Jamal Saleh Sac Fly, a Kevin McGowan RBI double and a Tom Gramza RBI single. Gramza would later leave after separating his shoulder on a diving stop. Pedro Gil (2-4, 2 RBI) added a 2 RBI double in the 5th, and Santi Mazzeo and Jeff Sampson (2-4, RBI) added RBIs in the 7th.

McGowan gets the W, Gil and Sampson each tally 2 hits

Mike Bolio singled home John Howe in the bottom of the 8th to end this one. Jeff Sampson (CG, 8IP, 0 ER, 5H) earned the win after carrying a no-hitter into the 6th. Tom Gramza had his first MABL hit, an RBI double in the 5th.

For the Grays, John Cronin pitched well in defeat, going 7+ innings and allowing 3 ER in the tough loss.

The White Sox jumped out in explosive fashion, highlighted by 2 walks, a Jason Hoye single, a Joe Fitzgerald double and an Earl Murphy 3-run homer in the first inning to take a 5-0 lead. Kevin McGowan entered in relief of Rob Sherman and held the Sox to 5 more scattered runs over the course of the game, 4 of which were unearned except for a Jason Hoye homer in the 7th inning.

Brian Houlding improved to 6-2 with his complete game effort, allowing 8 hits, half of which Pedro Gil and John Howe collected for the A's.

Improving to 19-4, the Sox continue to chase the first place Yankees.

Earl Murphy and Jason Hoye hit 4-baggers.

Joey Perna outlasted Corey Aldoupolis in a well pitched battle last night at Feeley Field. Perna went the distance, scattering 8 hits and picking up 7 strike outs along the way. Aldoupolis took the tough loss allowing only 4 hits, no earned runs, and picking up 8 strike outs over 6 1/3 innings of work.
For the A's, Pedro Gil (2 for 4, 1 BB, 2 runs scored) and Kevin Botsch (2 for 4) supplied the hits for the night.
Alan Donaruma, Jeff Rausch and Jaime Aldoupolis had multiple hit games for the M's.

Jeff Decoteau tosses his second career no-hitter with a win over the A's on 8/22/04. His last no-hitter was versus the Royals on 8/11/2003, just more than a year ago.

Game was close most of the way, until Giants exploded late in the game.

The Orioles plate 5 runs in the bottom of the seventh for a dramatic come from behind win over the A's.

George Haseltine goes the distance for the O's, surviving shaky defense to pick up his first MABL win. Jordan Krall collects two hits, including a homerun, in his MABL debut. Chris Roupa also had two hits for the O's.

Six different A's players collected one hit apiece.

Aaron Bend(0ER,2H,10K,2BB) pitched a complete game 2 hitter to earn the win for the Cubs on Wednesday night against the A's.

Jeff Cain(2-3,HR,3B,3RBI,R) and Matt Bradesca(2-3,2R) supplied the offence for the Cubs providing 4 out of the 5 Cubs hits and scoring 3 out of the 5 runs.

SK tossed a CG on two days rest.
Kennedy struck out nine Athletics to give the Astros the one-run win.
The 'stros played errorless defense and plated all three of their runs in the fourth. With men on 1st and 3rd, Dave Kwajewski executed a perfect hit and run to drive in Ron Viola. Then with two outs, Tyler Walsh delivered a single up the middle that scored Rich Newman (2-for-3) and Kwajewski. The 'stros never gave up the lead.
Santi Mazzeo brought it within one in the fifth by homering with Pedro Gil on base, but Kennedy clamped down and got stronger. After the home run he did not allow a baserunner.
Rob Sherman took the loss pitching well through seven innings. He struck out 12 and walked none. Gil had three hits and a SB for the A's.
Neither shortstop recorded a chance in the field.

How do we not have Kennedy's picture? Kwajewski and Walsh were the RBI men.

Chris Allen picked up his first win as a Red. Allen pitched four innings of relief giving up one run and striking out seven. Ryan Chase made his way back to the mound pitching the final two innings.

Chris Chase paced the Reds offense with 2 home runs including his second grand slam of the season. He finished with 6 RBIs. Derek Garabedian and Sean Magee also had two hits a piece.

The A's Santi Mazzeo also had a home run of his own. He finished with two hits and 3RBIs. Andrew Billig and Joey Perna also had multiple hits for the A's

Allen picks up win. Chase hits 2 HRs including a grand slam. Mazzeo hits one of his own.

Rob Sherman and Kit Kadlec matched up in one of the better outings you'll ever see. The game was called after 9 full innings due to curfew with neither team scoring a run. Final Pitching Lines:

Scott Boruchow pitches a complete game shutout to earn his fourth win. He finished with 9k's giving up only three hits.
Terry West hit a grand slam on his first career MABL at bat. He also picked up another hit and walk in his first game. Chris Chase also picked up two hits. He also drove and two and scored twice.
Kevin Mcgowen pitched the complete game for the A's.

Cardinals take the A's 6-3 in a yawner at Ryan Field. Matt Walker picks up his 1st MABL win by throwing 3.1 IP of 3 hit ball. Offensively, the Cards were led by Chris Caprio (3-4, 2R, 2RBI) and Billy MacDougal (1-3, 2R, 3SB). Rob Sherman went a hard fought 3.2 IP for the A's.

Jay Wisner started for the Cards and no hit the A's through 3.2 IP. Problem was, he couldn't throw a strike either in giving up 10BB and 5K.

Walker 1st MABL win. Caprio walk tall, carry big stick!
