The Sox bats woke up and pounded 10 hits in 5 innings (5 of them for extra bases) en route to a 11-0 win over the Boston Jakes on Sunday morning.
The offense was paced by Omart Ortiz (2-3, 2 doubles) and Ryan Foley (2-3, triple) who both collected two hits and two RBIs. Also in the mix were Nick Panzini who hit the first Sox HR of the season, a 3-run bomb to right center, and Argeny Villa who was 1-1 with a double to deep left.
Jon Shepard got the win for the Sox - going 4 innings, allowed 3 baserunners, and struck out 5. |
