The Athletics put up 4 runs in the 3rd, thanks to RBI's by Christian and Tapper, and Cote. The Marlins put up 3 runs in the 5th to cut the As lead to 1, thanks to a timely 2B by Leslies and RBIs by Batista and Twiss. The As, however, got an insurance run in the 7th thanks to an RBI 2B by Alan Donaruma. In addition to getting the save, Alec Christian paced the As at the plate going 1-2 with a 3B, 1 RBI, and 2 BB.
