Rooney 'slammed' the door in the 7th with the aggression of a 16-year-old arriving home late after curfew. He allowed 1 unearned run, and stranded the tying run on third base.

On the offensive side, Bowen, Day, Perron, Picco, and Milano all added RBI knocks, and Billy Collins contributed 2 base hits from the leadoff spot. Clearly, the Towne offense demonstrated that it could supply runs in the absence of one of its strongest hitters.

Horwitz hammered 3 base hits, and O'Sullivan singled and added a 2-RBI double in the 4th for ADSL.
