Towne Club 0 1 1 0 0 2 x 4 0 0

This one looked like a potential forfeit when both teams arrived at the Catholic Memorial field, only to find the gate locked and all entry points difficult to reach. After some collective brainstorming, everyone was able to safely reach the field after hopping over a fence along the right field line.

Speaking of going over fences, most of this game's scoring came via the long ball. Picco drove 2 solo shots over the CM fence, and McDonnell added a solo homer of his own for Grossman.

Bentson and Rooney combined for 7 strong innings, scattering 6 hits while striking out 9 Grossman batters. Weninger pitched all 6 innings in a losing effort, allowing 4 earned runs and striking out 8.

Towne Club 1 0 2 1 0 0 1 5 12 0
ADSL 0 0 1 2 0 0 1 4 9 0

The "Connor Twins" silenced the ADSL bats just enough to narrowly secure a 5-4 victory. Farrell delivered 6 strong innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned), while striking out 9. Rooney 'slammed' the door in the 7th with the aggression of a 16-year-old arriving home late after curfew. He allowed 1 unearned run, and stranded the tying run on third base.

On the offensive side, Bowen, Day, Perron, Picco, and Milano all added RBI knocks, and Billy Collins contributed 2 base hits from the leadoff spot. Clearly, the Towne offense demonstrated that it could supply runs in the absence of one of its strongest hitters.

Horwitz hammered 3 base hits, and O'Sullivan singled and added a 2-RBI double in the 4th for ADSL.

Towne officially clinches a playoff berth with a 4-3 victory over Grossman on a mild Sunday night. Dan Milano dusted off the cobwebs on his catching equipment and supplied Towne with a reliable backstop in this game, even throwing out the first runner to test his arm in the first inning.

The top of the Towne lineup provided the punch in this one; Hoyt and Emmertz each contributed 2 hits, and Venditti reached base twice. Grant Bowen, after refueling in the fifth inning, clobbered an opposite field home run in his next at bat. Though he slowly hobbled to the plate after rounding third, it counted just the same.

Bentson and Parker scattered 6 hits over 7 strong innings, allowing just 3 unearned runs between them.

Willie Lopez stifled the Towne bats through the first 4 innings before the Towne bats woke up in the 5th.

The Towne veterans overcame nagging injuries and old age-related fatigue to topple Cannon on Thursday night. After a Venditti 3 run home run in the 3rd, Cannon felt compelled to issue him an intentional walk in his next at-bat, loading the bases. Grant Bowen, feeling disrespected, responded by launching a moonshot grand slam over the left field fence. Jim Perron, fresh off of a workout at Planet Fitness, came through with 3 hits and an RBI for Towne.

Mike Stefaniak dealt through 6 strong innings, allowing 4 runs while striking out 9.

Joe Dwyer delivered the big hit for Cannon, a 2 run double in the 4th. Panozzi and desai also had big hits for Cannon which happened to leave the park too.

Towne wins the rubber match against Palmer in convincing fashion. Nearly everyone in the Towne lineup went "beast mode" and hit safely in this contest, with a surprise 4-hit performance from Mark Bentson. Hoyt and Bowen also added 3 hits apiece. Alden Brooks Parker, filling in for Dan Milano, also laced an RBI single in the seventh inning. Picco bounced back beautifully after receiving a verbal warning from the umpiring staff in the third inning, tattooing an RBI double in the sixth. Finally, Towne veteran Billy Collins collected his 200th Park League career hit in this game, a scorcher down the first base line. Suffice to say, Towne was utterly locked in with the bats in this one.

Farrell looked solid through 5 innings, allowing 2 earned runs while keeping the Palmer offense quiet. Rooney closed out the game, pitching the final 2 innings.

Palmer's Kyle Power added a two-run home run in the sixth inning.

Towne gets back to its winning ways with a 5-2 victory against Palmer on Wednesday night. The entire Towne lineup played a role in the win, with 5 different players recording RBIs (Bowen, Perron, Stefaniak, Emmertz, and Collins).

Stefaniak continued to sip the fountain of youth's magical elixir, delivering a complete game, 11 strikeout performance on the mound. Though Stefaniak looked like a young bronco in this game, other veteran Towne players continued to struggle with nagging injuries.

Palmer was fueled by a timely 2 RBI base hit from Trafecanty. JP Songin started the game for Palmer, striking out Alex Venditti to end the first then giving up 2 in the second. Kenny Henry finished the game with 5 strong innings of relief
