Cantabs grab game 1 against the Cardinals in a tough battle that saw the Cards jump out to an early 2-0 lead. In the top of the 9th, with the bases loaded and 2 outs, Dan Tessier was able to induce a groundball out to end it.

Game 2 is scheduled for Tuesday September 20, 8PM @ Fallon in Roslindale. Tickets are scarce!

Chiefs jumped out to an early 4-0 lead and held on to take Game 1 of the best of 3 series. Jose Delosantos scattered 8 hits over 5 innings to hold the Red Sox to 4 runs while Paysa Fernandez and Minsoo Kim combined in relief to allow only two hits and no runs over the remaining 4 innings.

Howard Horn started the offense early driving in two runs on a big two out hit with the bases loaded in the first. Josh Valerio contributed two hits and two runs while the rest of the lineup hit from top to bottom tallying 14 total team hits on the day.

Reigning two time Cy Young award winner Yulkin German went 8 innings strong for the Red Sox, striking out 7 and walking none.
