Will Lopez earned his first MABL win, throwing 4 innings and allowing 2 runs. Joan Cordero earned the save, pitching the final two innings including working out of a bases-loaded jam in the 7th to close it out.

Nick Radcliffe socked a 2-run HR to pace the Red Sox attack.

The Spinners clinched the Bay State division for the third consecutive year and a bye in the first round of the playoffs with an 8-0 win over the Orioles. Luc Kocher earned his 9th win, tying the MABL single season record, with a five inning and eight strike out performance. Pat Clapp came on for the save with three strikeouts.

The Cambridge bats pounded out six doubles, with Ryan Gaffney hitting two. Mike Navarro and Mike Tufo each drove in two runs.

The Spinners look to close out the regular season with a win and home field advantage in the post-season on Sunday against the Dodgers.

A's TAKE GAME 2

The A's took game 2 of the doubleheader behind a complete game from Kyle Breidenstine, who gave up just 3 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 3.

10 of 11 A's reached base safely in this game. Donaruma scored 3 times; Krall and Tessari each scored twice. Krall and Barton each had 3 RBI. And Donaruma, Krall, Barton, and Mahoney each tagged an extra-base hit in the contest.

The A's move to 16-7, having won 7 straight games. Breidenstine to 4-2 on the season.

The O's face the Spinners on Wednesday night.

A's COMEBACK TO WIN GAME 1

The Orioles jumped out to an early 5-0 lead. In the 1st, Woodard, Souffrant, and Gallivan all singled in a 4-run inning. In the 2nd, Ortiz led off with a single and Souffrant drove him in with a single of his own.

The A's were shut out until the 5th, when Lamoureux legged out a home run to put the A's on the board. Matt Asdornvuttikrai and Mahoney followed with signles, and Vadala and Tessari drove them in. 5-3 O's after 5.

In the 6th, the A's got 5 more runs to pull ahead for good. O'Keefe led off with a single. Donaruma and Krall followed with walks. Warren Asdornvuttikrai plated two with an RBI single. Barton then tripled home Warren, and then scored on a double steal.

Jason Kurtz picked up the complete game win striking out 13 Orioles on the afternoon.

In a shortened game, Spinners hopped on the O's early plating 5 runs in the 1st and continuing the onslaught with 15 more in the following 4 innings. Salvia led the Spinners with 3 hits and 5 RBIs, while Gaffney, Killoren and Valdiviezo contributed 2 hits a piece. Every Spinner scored a run tonight.

Rookie, Pat Donohoe, picks up his 1st win in the MABL with 6 ks in 4 innings, while allowing 1 run.

Next up, the Spinners will play the Giants on Sunday in Malden.

A's BEST ORIOLES
Brendan Huber recorded 3-hit, 6-strikeout complete game in the A's win.

The O's plated two in the opening frame. Victoria, after reaching with a single, stole second and third, and then scurried home on an errant throw. Pena reached on a walk and came around on a Canavan groundout.

The A's half of the first, Donaruma, who led off with a single, came home on a balk.

In the O's 2nd, Solano reached on a dropped third strike and then reached home on a few passed balls.

The A's took the lead in the 3rd. Krall, McIntyre, and W. Asdornvuttikrai hit three consecutive singles. Kurtz plated a run on a groundout; and so did Mahoney, who later scored on a passed ball.

In the A's 5th, W. Asdornvuttikrai walked. Kurtz sacrificed him to second, and a heads-up Asdornvuttikrai scrambled to an unoccupied third base and scored on a throwing error.

That was all Huber needed.
