HUBER THROWS GEM IN GAME 1 OF SEMIS

Huber set the tone by striking out the side in the top of the first. The A's struck in the bottom half. Nick Barton laced a double to drive in the first run. Dave Clarke hit a single over to drive in Warren Asdornvuttikrai, and Krall drove in the third run on a FC. The younger Asdornvuttikrai keeps playing well, going 2-3 at the plate.

White Sox starter Alex Weldon would settle down, though, cruising through innings 2-5. Weldon also tacked on a hit of his own at the plate. The A's would tack on and insurance run in the 6th on a Brian Colella RBI single.

Things got hairy in the 7th for the A's, as they made 2 errors that would have ended the game. Josh Valerio hit an RBI single to make it 4-1. Huber, though, induced a double play ball, capped by an amazing pick at first by Jay Lamoureux to end the ball game.
