After going 1-4 during the month, the Royals looked to salvage their final July game vs the Nationals. Rookie Matt Bui (W, 6IP, 2H, 3R, 1ER, 5BB, 8K) picked up the win in his first career start and the bats came alive as the Royals collected 11 hits on the night. Mike Ahearn, Gary Carmona, Scott Weber, and Kevin Ceurvels all picked up 2 hits and the Royals went on to win 8-3.

The Titans jump out to an early 7-0 lead in gsme two. Scott Lobdell had a 3-3 game with 2 more rbi's Brian Maynard also 3-4 ro pace the offense. Cam Beaulieu grabbed his second victory in as many weeks with a strong 5 innings and Mark Blake closed out the sweep with a 9-3 victory.

The Nationals came back to tie the game at 4 in the 5th, but the Titans grabbed 3 in the top of 8th to take game 1 of the double header 7-4. Offense was lead by Scott Lobdell going 3-4, Allen Hatfield going 3-3 and Rob Modoono going 2-3. Matt O'Donnell had the nationals off balance all day.

Indians win by mercy rule. Derek Sweeney, Jim Rooney, Al Frazier and Corey Hayward fueled the offense with multiple hit efforts. Mark Infurna got the complete game shut out win.

Indians win on a walk off double in the 8th inning by Corey Hayward. Billy Morin had 2 RBI, Jim Rooney had 2 hits and Josh Dimino stole home on a delayed steal to highlight the win.

Shaun McAuliffe earned the victory for the Cubs on the mound while adding a 3-run home run as the Cubs swept the doubleheader from the Nationals. The Cubbies jumped out to a big 7 run lead in the 4th, but the Nats scored 3 in the 4th and 4 more in the 6th to tie things up. The Cubs responded with 5 runs in the 7th to secure the victory.

The Boston Cubs took game 1 of the DH with the Nationals on the arm and bat of Eric Walz who struck out 9 of the first 10 batters he faced and went 3-4 with an RBI, run, and SB. After the Nationals came back to take a 2-1 lead in the 4th, the Cubs tied it up in the bottom of the 4th and exploded for 6 runs in the 5th to put the game out of reach. Eric Brooks was 2-3 with a run and an RBI for the Nats.

PEABODY - In a somewhat thrilling game where there were a ton of errors on both teams the Nationals came out on top 7-6 over the Thunder. The Thunder led 5-1 till the 4th inning when timely hits and a few errors went the Nationals way. The Nationals offense was led by Tim Scanlon 2-3, 2 RBI's, and 3 SB's and Will Whittemore who was also 2-3 on the day with a SB. Andrew Ricci remains hot at the plate with 2 RBI's in a timely fashion. Curtis Tirone entered the game in the 4th inning and shut the Thunder down to pick up the win on the hill.

Desperate for a win the Red Dogs feasted on the Waltham Nationals, scoring 13 runs on 12 hits. This was a must need win as the Red Dogs entered the day sitting 12th in the CABL at 3-8. Sitting at 4-8 after 12 games the Red Dogs will build off of this victory welcoming the Newbie Mariners to Pepperell.

SALEM - The Waltham Nationals came into this game not having played for about a week and a half. However, it was a very solid game both on the offensive side as well as defensively. Nationals pitcher, Bryan Santospago goes the distance in the complete game win to move to 3-0 on the season. Offensively, the Nationals had some key hits that helped propel them in the 9-2 route of the Thunder. Newcomers, Curtis Tirone and Dana Parello also jumped right in to help the cause both knocking in runs. The Nationals next play on Friday night vs the Malden Braves. Should be a great game!

PEABODY - The Waltham Nationals have went on to even their record to 4-4 on the young season. The Nationals got an "ace" pitching performance from lefty Eric Brooks. Brooks through the complete game gem, only allowing 2 runs in the first inning and then settling down. His line for the night was 4 hits, 2 walks, 10 K's improving his record to 2-2 this year. Offensively, the Nats banged out 10 hits off of Pirates pitcher Andy Burkett. Everyone chipped in to provide the offense and it allowed for some timely runs.
