A's WIN 2-0.

Though they threatened many times, the A's scored only two runs. But two runs were enough for Kyle Breidenstine, who pitched six efficient, shutout innings. Breidenstine struck out 4 and yielded only 4 hits. Brian Mylett came in and notched the 1-2-3 save.

Rathapoom Asdornvuttikrai continued his torrid pace, hitting three singles through the 5-6 hole, including one for an RBI. Jay Lamoureux recorded two hits for the A's. And Rathapong Asdornvuttirkai (no relation--just kidding; they're brothers) chipped in with a single and an RBI walk.

That was all the offense the A's could muster, but it was enough for the win.

Field and Stiffler each had two hits for the Tigers in the losing effort.

The Tigers will look to pounce on the Dodgers next Saturday. The A's face the White Sox in an Atlantic Division showdown on Thursday night at Fallon.
