Drew Brzozowski pitched the complete game shutout, striking out a season-high nine with no walks.
Steve Gath had 3 RBI and Ross Curley scored 3 runs. Dan Capra was 2-for-2 off the bench. Tommy Bourdon and Dan Graham each drove in a run.
Mike Addesa, Steve Burke and Andrew Gray each had a hit for Melrose. Ryan McNiff started and took the loss going five innings, giving up seven runs and four hits. |

A tough night to play at Endicott on a hot and hazy night with a breeze blowing out. Both the teams outfielders struggled to pick up the fly balls which lead to multiple extra base hits.
In the end the Bulldogs prevailed after a seven run third inning keyed by two rbi's each from Nick Conti (double) and Dante Padovani (four rbi's on the night).
For Melrose Devin Perry had a a big night with a double and triple and Manny Powers two hits including a two run double.

Sean Callahan hit a two run homer in the first for Watertown and the Reds tacked on two more runs before James McConville's 4th inning grand slam tied it for the Americans. In the 5th, a Mike Addesa single drove home what proved to be the winning run.
Rob DiFranco (1-2) went the distance on the mound for Melrose to earn the win. |
