An offensive onslaught in the 7th solidified Cannon's spot in the playoffs for the first time in team history. After a shaky first, Campion settled down for the CG win and kept the ADSL bats quiet.

Blandino pitched great for ADSL and their defense made great plays as Cannon was always leaving runners on base. But in the 7th, Greskoff led off with a triple, Clemente (3-4, double, triple) walked and Kiley singled. Then singles by Flannery,, Newton, McCue, and Davis broke it all open.

In other news, Newton makes a diving stab at a line drive in the hole that should earn him an ESPY nod.

Cannon Club 9, ADSL 5

 Summary | Box Score
Final 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 R H E
ADSL 2 0 1 1 0 2 0 5 6 3
Cannon Club 2 0 0 4 0 3 x 9 13 1

Tight game until the 4th when Cannon puts up 4 starting with a sac fly by Davis, then singles by McCue (who tripled to start the game), Sabatino, Greskoff (3-4 with an HR in the 6th), and Clemente.

ADSL starts a comeback in the 6th when the Cannon defense comes up big. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Sullivan hits a shallow fly to the left fielder who attempts a sliding catch. The ball pops from his glove (never hits the ground) only to have Colon (ss) come running by to grab it before it lands. The runner on third tags but in the confusion the runner on first has to go back.

Campion comes in to pick off the runner and quiet the ADSL bats. Cannon adds 3 more in the sixth with a Greskoff opposite field bomb and a 2 run triple by Colon.
