The Malden Bulldogs win 6-1 behind the combined pitching of Jon Shepard and Tim Stronach. They only allowed 5 hits with 7-stikeouts and no earned runs. The offense provided 12 hits with
Kevin Salines having 3. Brett Remon and Brad Tardugno each provided 2 hits each. John Kostas once again led the Al Thomas A's with 2 hits. The Bulldogs win the hard fought series 3-1. They now advance to the Yawkey Leauge Finals vs. Somerville. The best 4 out of 7 game Series begins Tuesday at Trum Field in Somerville at 8:00.

The Malden Bulldogs pulled off a come from behind victory in the bottom of the 7th inning.
Behind the outstanding relief pitching of Joe Milbury. He pitched 3 1/3 scoreless innings allowing only 1 hit while stiking out 5 A's batters. This set the stage for the dramatic win.
The Bulldogs trailing 5-3. Dave Iacona and Kevin Salines each drew a walk. Down to their last out. Tommy Englehardt stepped up to the plate and drove a single to right scoring Iacona. Making the score 5-4 with runners on 1st and 3rd. Joey Eugenio with his first plate appearance of the night hit a hot shot down to third scoring Salines with the tying run. Then it was Jeff Allison's turn to be the "Hero". He hit a rocket to right center scoring Englehardt with the winning run. This gave the Bulldogs a 6-5 win and a 2-1 lead in the Series. Steve Lambert and John Kostas had 2 hits each for Al Thomas.

Evan Tardugno, Bulldogs even series at 1

(Roslindale, MA) The 2011 YBL Cy Young Award winner, Evan Tardugno spun a gem of a game as the Malden Bulldogs evened the series.

The big hit of the night came from Kenny Luongo who plated two runs with his single in the first. Jeff Allison then capped the scoring with a RBI single to left.

Evan Tardugno tossed six innings allowing just one earned run. Tim Stronach pitched a scoreless seventh for his first save of the postseason.

The series continues tomorrow night at the Wood in Malden.

Chris McDonough outdueled Kenny Luongo as the A's edged the Bulldogs 2-1. John Kostas' triple in the 5th scored Steve Lambert who had singled and stolen 2nd for the eventual game winner.

A's come from behind again to edge a Braves team that never gave up for one minute in the series 10-7. Chris McDonough singled in brother Pat with the eventual winning run in the top of the 7th. Al Thomas Club wins series 3-0 to advance to the semifinals.

Ryan Stoller pitched 4.2 innings of solid relief, yielding 4 hits and a run to pick up the win. Brendan Wheeler and Bill Donahue led the offense with 3 hits and 2 doubles each.

Schools and Uberti, who mashed the entire series, each had 3 more hits to lead the Braves, who put up a vicious battle in every game. Congrats to Ted Tracy and crew for putting together such a quality team that is going to be heard from a lot more in the future.

The A's earned their 22nd win of the season,2-1, clinching the #2 seed for the 2012 playoff tournament.

Matt McDougall, Dan Gaughan and Chris McDonough combined to limit the Saints to 1 run, with Gaughan picking up the win and McDonough nailing down his 2nd save.

John Kostas singled in Steve Lambert, who had doubled, in the 2nd inning which proved to be the winning run. Kostas had 2 hits while Pat McDonough ripped 3 more hits and drew a walk to lead the offense.

Tim Vogel had a sweet diving catch in right field to rob Greg Schwind of extra bases in the 7th inning, while Nick Malatos had a mean pick at first to end the game.

Metsch, Dacey and Wojner all pitched well for South Boston, which was led offensively by Mendelson and Stephenson with 2 hits apiece.

JT Ross goes the distance earning his fifth win on the season. Offensively for the Sox Chris Brown, Joe Gil, Cam Owens, Aqib Shah and Tim Varakis all had two hits each.

For Al Thomas Brendan Wheeler and Pat McDonough each had three hits, while Mike Niland and Steve Lambert had two hits a piece.

Braving the elements to get games in, the Dodgers and As squared off in the 2nd of a home and home series in a tsunami at Healy Field. After getting behind 3-0 early, the Dodgers rallied to take advantage of a couple tough plays to post 6 in the 2nd inning. Shortened by the rain to only 5 innings, the Dodgers managed to exceed their season high for runs with 12, and tie their season high of 13 hits.

One of the top hitters in the league, Jaques Shatto led the Dodgers going 2-for-4 with 3 runs and 2 rbi. Jerrad Ryan also went 3-for-4 with 2 runs and 2 rbi. Dubin, Navarro and McGrath all chipped in with 2 hits apiece.

Cato LaCroix rallied after a tough 1st inning to throw 5 strong and get his first win of the season.
