Lexington wins historic fifth consecutive Intercity League championship with a 10-0 shutout of Andre at Lexington High School Tuesday night.
Jeff Vigurs lead the 10-hit attack with a 4-for-4 night and three RBI. Justin Wright and Dan Graham each had two hits. Wright, Graham and Steve Gath each scored twice.
Drew Brzozowski won his second game in the finals with a complete game three hit shutout. He struck out five and retired the last seven batters.
Andre starter Tim Dunphy took the loss pitching four innings, giving up seven hits, six runs, four earned, a walk and three strike outs.

Mike Barbati's single up the middle drove in pinch runner Andy Cavanaugh with the winning run to keep Andre alive in the finals.
Matt Boleski homered to start off the seventh. Paul Yanakopulos had an RBI triple and scored the tying run on Justin Crisafulli's single.
Lexington took a 4-1 lead in the top of the seventh getting RBI from Steve Gath (sac fly), Jeff Vigurs (fielders choice) and Ross Curley (single).

Lexington took a 2-0 lead in the finals with an 8-1 win over Andre Thursday night.
Tommy Haugh, Dan Capra and Jeff Vigurs each drove in two runs for the Blue Sox.
Drew Brzozowski, 1-0, pitched a complete game for the win. He scattered nine hits, struck out seven and walked one.
Tim Dunphy, 3-1, took his first loss of the playoffs. In 4.1 innings he gave up 11 hits and five runs.

Mike O'Brien pitched five shutout innings, scattering three hits and striking out five for the win. Tim Lahey closed out with two no-hit innings for the save.

Dan Graham scored the winning run with one out in the seventh on a squeeze play by Ross Curley to send Lexington into the finals.
Curley drove in the first Lexington run with a sacrifice fly in the second to tie the game at 1-1.
Reading took a 3-2 lead in the fifth on Bill Cataldo's RBI single and a wild pitch.
Matt Karis earned his second win of the series with a complete game effort. He gave up six hits and had nine strikeouts.

Ben O'Shea won his third postseason game with a complete game six-hitter. He gave up two runs and struck out seven.
Jeff Vigurs with a first-inning sacrifice fly and Matt McEvoy with a single to right in the fourth drove in the Lexington runs.

Zak Talis drove in Bill Cataldo with a single past the drawn-in infield to Reading a 3-2 win in game two and even the series at 1-1.
The winning run scored with one out in the bottom of the eighth and came with the bases loaded.
The game started in Reading on Thursday and was suspended due to darkness after seven innings and tied 2-2. It was finished in Lexington Friday night and took 16 minutes to bring to an conclusion.
Ben O'Shea got the win with one inning in relief. He walked one and struck out two.

Chas Agrillo singled in Martinho for a 3-1 Lexington lead. Matt McEvoy hit a leadoff home run in the sixth to account for the final run.
Reading took a 1-0 lead when Alex Fischer (single) scored from third on a Lexington error.

In a home game for Watertown at Lexington High School the Reds won 3-0 to stay in the hunt for fifth place.
Brendan Casey had 2 hits a run and an RBI to pace the Reds offense. Steve Tramontozzi and Colby Mattheson each drove in a run. Dan Chaisson and Justin Forman also scored for Watertown.
Mike Antonellis, 1-3, pitched the complete game shutout. He walked five and struck out six while scattering three hits.
Kevin Scanlon, 4-1, gave up eight hits, three runs and struck out five for Lexington.
