Middlesex Brewers 3, JM Force of Hyde Park 1
The Brewers broke open a 1-1 tie to advance to Rd 2 Playoffs by scoring 2 runs in the 10th inning; Steve Ponte and Brett Rudy singled, Rusty Young walked, and Joe Creedon's infield bounder caused an errant throw leading to both runs; Owen Carlson and Franz Strassman shared spectacular mound work, while Elvin Bautista went the distance for the Force. |

Walk-off 2b by Alamo helps Force win game 1. Good overall game by Tony Rodriguez as he pitched 9 good innings while also helping himself up with a base clearing 3 run 2b. |

Another sloppy game at good ol' Clifford.
HRs by Chris Romero and Ezequiel "Chino" Roman highlighted the Force offense. |

Another stellar pitching performance by Force helps get them back on track. This time Ezequiel "Chino" Roman pitched 7 strong innings given up only one run. Tony Rodriguez then finished it up by throwing the last 2 w/o gving up a run. |

Great pitching duel btw. the Breakers' Hartman and Force's Bautista as they battled inning by inning until the end.
Hartman helped himself out pushing ahead the only run of the game.
As always, good game by both teams. |

North Shore Vipers 4, JM Force of Hyde Park 1
In a possible playoff preview, both teams featured their hard throwing lefties. It was Jeff Roach for the visiting Vipers and Juan Alamo for the home team Force.
Roachie was on his game from the start as he went 7 strong innings allowing only 2 scattered hits, 0 runs, 5 K's, 2 BB and a HBP. He then came back in with 2 on and 0 out in the ninth to earn his 2nd Win/Save of the season striking out 2 more. He also went 1 for 4 at the plate with an RBI double to help the cause.
After a rough start for Alamo, he settled in for the Force and held the Vipers scoreless for the next 6 innings. The Force relief Elvin Bautista, was equally tough also keeping the Vipers scoreless the rest of the way.
Jose Toledano went deep in the 1st with a towering 2 run homerun to get the Vipers on the board early. Cesar Romero was rock solid behind the plate and added a hit and a walk in his only 2 at bats.
