Palmer drew first blood in the second inning when Stack came up with a clutch 2-out RBI single. The game remained 1-0 until the bottom of the sixth. With runners on first and second with two outs Josue Feliciano delivered a double into the gap scoring the tying and go ahead runs. Palmer would not go quietly though! In the bottom of the seventh they got the tying run to second base and with two outs pinch hitter Brian Reilly delivers a base hit to left where Willy Rojas made a perfect throw to home plate to get the runner and end the game. An incredible ending to a series where every game came down to the very last pitch. D-Ro and Vazques both had 3 hits in the game. A spectacular game played by both sides and for most of the game pitching and defense was the story. For Palmer PJ Gouthro pitched a gem throwing 7 innings of shutout baseball, scattering 5 hits. Unfortunately for Gouthro he ran into veteran Pablo Reyes who was just as dominant. Reyes threw 8 innings giving up only 4 hits and striking out 7 batters.

The scoreless tie was finally broken in the top of the 9th. Carlson had the bases loaded with one out when Malaret hit a grounder to short and a potential inning ending double play was broken up at second by D-Ro allowing the first run to score. Eddie DelCarmen was next to hit and he delivered the nail in the coffin and much needed insurance runs when he belted a 3-run HR to deep left center field.

Palmer would not go quietly! In the bottom of the ninth they scored 2 runs and had the bases loaded with nobody out when coach Nick Faggas decided to put the ball in the hands of their sho
