Revere Rockies 11, Winter Hill Cyclones 3
Tom Levett picks up the win.
Story of the day was the Rockie Veterans leading the way. Dave Mitrou appeared in his first game at catcher since little league back in 1979. Not only was he solid behind the dish, he went 2-4 w a dbl and rbi. Brian Cooper, another of the oldies, strokes 3 hits and knocks in 2 to help the Rockies pick up the win. He was asked after the game if it was difficult to sit most of the year and to see live action for the first time in months, Cooper said "no I attribute it to my baking skills, I use my hands alot when I bake cakes and cupcakes, I even make my own Italian Sausages so I am always using my hands and as you know your hands are key when hitting, so that helps."
Offensively Rockies with multi hit games:
Jay Lapointe 2-4
Chris Santosuosso 2-5 w 2 rbi's
Aj Bucciarelli 2-5 w 2 rbi's
Sean Glavin 2-5 w an rbi
Pat Sueltonfuss played solid D and had 2 hits for Winter Hill. |

The Dodgers win a tight one at Ronan tonight against the Cyclones, 2-0. Beacon Hill starter Kyle Breidenstine tossed a complete-game shutout, scattering 5 hits while walking 1 and striking out 8.
The Dodgers got it rolling in the 2nd inning against Winter Hill starter Sam Kennedy-Smith, who pitched great in the loss for the Cyclones. After back-to-back Dodger singles by 1B Steve DeFusco and C Bryan Duffy and a walk from RF Steve Walsh, LF Joe Patrolia grounded to 3rd, scoring DeFusco and Duffy (on a throwing error to 1B).
