The Grays put up 5 in the 3rd on a combination of key hits and miscues by the Athletics. The A's would fight back, though, as Talal Saleh went on to throw 4.2 innings of no-hit relief.
With the score 5-2, the A's loaded the bases in the 4th with three consecutive walks. Kyle Breidenstine then ripped a double to right-center field to tie the game. There would be no scoring again until the bottom of the 7th, when Tapper was hit by a pitch, Bo McIntyre hit a single, and Jamie Aldoupolis was intentionally walked.
