stockyard wins in 10 innings to take a 2-0 lead in the series. great pitching by both squads. bartlett started for the yard and settled down after the first inning allowing only 3 hits through 6 innings. lyons had a big 2 run single in the 7th to tie the game at 4. lloyd pitched 3 shutout innings of relieve keeping stockyard in the game. alexander came in the 10th and pitched his way out of a bases loaded, no out jam, inducing a 1-2-3 double play.the game remained tied until the 10th when jones singled, hough singled, magrass was hbp and busby hit an rbi single to win the game. busby had 3 hits while lyons and jones had 2 each. guthrow pitched well for palmer and birtwell battled pitching 3 plus innings of relieve.
