The Cardinals avoided elimination with a 2-1 win against the Titans. Tim Belanger was spectacular again, taking a no-hitter into the 6th inning. He finished the complete game with no earned runs. Anthony Tempesta scored the Cardinals first run and knocked in their second while Dan Belanger scored in the 2nd inning after a single. Evan Dedrick made an unbelievable play, gunning down the tying run at the plate to end the game.

Very little offense between the Gators and Giants Thursday night in Melrose. Gators would get a run early in the 1st after a poor throw to first by Bryan Wilkins but that's all they would get. Opportunistic situations were cashed in by the Giants and they squeaked out 2 runs to win the game 2-1. Jay Rogatto had a day to forget in the field with 3 errors at 2nd but John Surette's pitching would get him and the Giants off the hook. Fantastic pitching from both teams but Surette outdueled the Gators' arms allowing just 4 hits and striking out 11 for the complete game dub. Giants and Mariners meet under the lights in R3 of the CABL winners bracket on Thursday the 25th at Twi.

The Cardinals recorded their first ever CABL post season victory over the Canton Royals. Tim Belanger carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning and ended up going the distance surrendering only 3 hits over 7 innings. Anthony Tempesta paced the offense for the red birds reaching base in all 3 of his at bats (2hits). Evan Comeau stole home in the first inning which proved to be a very important run down the stretch. Tyler Irving added two hits for the Cardinals and Will Lucini had an RBI single. The Cardinals have their hands full in round 2 of the winners bracket as they take on the Mariners Thursday night.

The Giants and Titans renew their long-time rivalry in Round 1 of the 2016 Playoffs. Titans get on the board quickly putting up 4 in the first two innings, chasing Giants' ace, John Surette after just 1 1/3 innings. Giants would answer back in the 3rd off of a 2 run job by Mike Roberts. Titans would get one back in the 4th but Robert Kimber blasts a three run shot in the Giants' half of the inning to take a 6-5 lead. Giants would score 2 more in the 4th off of a 6 batter, 2 out rally. Titans refused to go away and clawed back to within one run through the top of the 6th until the Giants' bats came back alive and again, it was Robert Kimber launching one over the fence to right center, a 2 run shot for his second homerun of the game. He would finish the day 4-5 with a 2B, 2HRs and 6RBIs. Yeoman's work out of the bullpen from Kendrew who battled a relentless Titans offense. Giants face off against the red hot Gators Thursday in Melrose.
