The Expos are the 2021 CABL Champions, taking down the Marlins for the 2nd consecutive season in a row and winning back to back championships for first time in CABL history. Kirby (5-1) Dominated once again on only 4 days rest, throwing a complete game 3 hitter with 11k and 1ER. Ethan Gofstein stepped up in clinching game number 5 going 3-4 with the biggest hit of the night, a solo shot to dead center in the 5th inning giving the expos the ultimate winning run. A pitchers duel in game 1 of the CABL finals, that had the Expos come out on top with a 2-1 win. Both starting pitchers, Expos: Kirby (4-0), Marlins: N. Powers (1-1), went the distance and struckout a combined 28 hitters. Both pitchers each allowed a few dink and dunk hits, with only one extra base hit all game. That extra base hit, which came off the bat of catcher Cam Plank, a double in the 7th inning, set up the game winning hit for the Expos. With 1 out in the top of the 7th, following Planks double to set up 2nd and 3rd with one out, Nick "Shohei" Bonofiglio came up with a 2 strike base hit that just made it through the drawn in infield for the go ahead 2 run single. That's all Expos Ace Kirby would need to seal the victory, and a game 1 win for the Expos.
