Pitching on just 3 days rest, PJ Gouthro laid it all on the line Friday night. Gouthro tossed all 10 innings of an epic Game 7 that ended in a walk-off bases loaded single by Mat Seropian to take home the 'ship for Palmer.

Gouthro was once again brilliant, scattering just 5 hits and allowing no earned runs on the night to secure a perfect 0.00 ERA over 15 innings pitched in the finals.

TJO pitchers Sam Miller & Dan Long, both also pitching on short rest, combined for a gritty performance as well, matching Gouthro inning for inning until Palmer finally broke thru in the 10th.

Those who watched this series were treated to an instant classic, and one that ended in fitting fashion - an extra inning nail biter that went right down to the wire. Hats off to TJO Sports for a great series.

The much awaited return of The Brother capped off a solid alumni turnout for Palmer Club at Kelly Field on Monday night. A combination of home cooking, alumni support, and another welcome return - a fresh Back in Black helmet game - proved to be a lethal combination for Palmer's offense, as Mat Seropian & Shane Stande took a night off from a busy wedding season to help Palmer look the part for the series finale.

Per usual, Monday Night Special PJ Gouthro (8-0) dealt, going 6 innings, allowing 1 earned run before handing things over to Brendan Telfer in the 7th. Telfer was impressive, striking out the side to vault Palmer past the defending champs and into the Park League finals for a second consecutive year.

Palmer's 1-5 hitters flat out raked Monday night, going 13-19 with 10 RBIs, capped off by a majestic grand slam that landed 4 steps up into the Mecca by Frank Alexopoulos (3-4, 5 RBI) that sealed the deal in the 6th.

To steal a line from Al Michaels, "Do you believe in miracles!?" Matt Seropian, of Brockton infamy, makes the write up two nights in a row. The miracle? He wasn't even at Fallon Field for game 2. The starting right fielder decided to bring Palmer's batting helmets to a wedding in CT instead of leaving them with a teammate so Palmer was down to a mixed bag of lids. Luckily, Palmer had Eric Williams on the hill and he was dominant through six innings to earn the victory. Tony Trafecanty struck out the side in the 7th to secure the victory. Dave Volante pitched well giving up 3 runs before Palmer busted the game open in the 7th inning. Johnny Phelan led Palmer offensively with multi-RBI hits hroughout the game, about time.

It was Throwback Thursday in the BPL playoff series opener as two veteran toes the rubber for both teams. Steve Hueston pitched a great game for Cannon giving up two runs in the 1st inning and shut down Palmer the rest of the night. Hueston was outdeuled by Kenny "All-State" Henry giving up 1 run for the complete game win. Henry almost had a CG shut out but Palmer's half witted right fielder "dove(?)" for a line drive in the second that looked more like a belly flop from a sumo wrestler into the shallow end of a kiddy pool. The line drive went from a single to a triple with the right fielder's terrible decision and Cannon turned it into their own run of the night. Game 2 takes place at Fallon Field Friday night at 7:45, get your popcorn ready.

The very next half inning after Ed Bernstein comes on in relief with first and third one out and shuts the door, Towne pushes four runs across in the 8th and takes Game 1.

Grant Bowen and Tim Corey knocked in early runs for Towne. But, TJO came back on Joe Lyons double, Max Hart's triple and Mike Pisano's single to tie it.

Corey got the winning rally started with a walk. Alex Holt had a well-placed bunt single, Connor Farrell knocked in a run as did Chris Hoyt (2 hits, walk, SB, two runs scored) and Billy Collins.

TJO loaded the bases in the bottom of the 8th, but Bernstein sealed the victory.

Tom Ryan (TC) and Dan Long (TJO) had hooked up in a great duel into the 7th.
