Both teams had chances in the extra frames but none bigger than the Dodgers threat in the 8th. Eaton started and went 4 innings followed by Hannon for 3 and neither disappointed the largest crowd on hand in East Boston's history. The Saints could only muster up one hit off the duo, that being a slow roller up the middle off of the bat of Byron Evans in the first inning. The Knights pushed across single runs in the 2nd and 4th to take a 2-0 lead. Kenny Polanco was 3 for 3 with an RBI to lead the charge offensively for the Knights.

With 2 out in the top of the 7th pinch hitter Rob Stephenson grounded to Anthony Ortiz who fired to Ace DiNapoli to end the game and clinch the Yaz division!!!! For the Knights it is the first Division Championship and playoff appearance in their short history!!!

The Knights and Rockies faced off for the final time in this regular season. The Knights sent Felipe Barahona to the mound to face off against Rich Wlodarczyk.

The Knights struck quickly scoring 2 in the 1st and 6 in the 2nd to take an 8-0 lead. The Rockies chipped away but never really threatened that lead until the 7th. Down 9-3 the Rockies scored 3 runs to cut it to 9-6 and had the tying run at the plate with no out that's when Steve Hueston induced Rockies CF Chris Santosuosso into a double play. Hueston then allowed the next 2 batters to reach to again put the tying run at the plate but then struck out Ned Coffee to end the game.

Justin Wojcik earned the win pitching the 4th and now is 2-0. Offense was the story of the game for the Knights. Ace DiNapoli, Ben McBride and Kenny Polanco all had triples for the Knights. The Knights hit the ball hard all night and put them 1 win away from clinching the Yaz division title.

 Summary | Box Score
Final 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 R H E
South End Astros 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 3 0
East Boston Knights 0 0 0 0 7 1 x 8 11 1

The Knights and Astros faced off for the 2nd time this season with the Knights looking to even the score after losing their previous match-up earlier in the season. The Knights sent Justin Wojcik vs old friend Josh Valerio.

This game was a reunion of sorts for the Knights facing old teammates in Omar Ortiz, Steve Baldassari and Josh Valerio. Both pitchers dueled thru 4 innings but the Knights broke the ice and got to Valerio scoring 7 runs in the 5th. Once again the Knights bats get contagious and string together enough hits to break thru in the inning.

The real story in this game was Justin Wojcik. He was in command all night keeping Astro batters off balance and shaking their heads in frustration. Wojcik threw a complete game 3 hit shutout striking out 2 for his 1st win of the season since re-joining the Knights.

The Knights are now 19-6 and reduce their magic number for winning the division to 2.

Matt Conroy goes 6 innings for the win. Good defense, timely hitting, and 5 (well, 4, but more on the 5th later) East Boston outs on the bases were the keys in this one.

The biggest play of the night was in the top of the 6th when with 2 out and the tying run on third, the Knights had apparently tied the game with a single to right. However, Hornet right fielder, Freddi Carrera grabbed the one hop line drive and fired to first to get the force play and preserve the 4-3 lead. Mike Isaia came on in the 7th to close it out.

For East Boston, Anthony Ortiz, Wilson Mercado and Kenny Polanco all had two hits.
