It was the Jay Thomas Show, as the Giants defeated the Gators in an elimination game to advance to the quarter-finals. Thomas threw a complete game 2-hit shutout, and also hit a solo homer in the 3rd inning, giving the Giants the only run they would need. Ethan Solomon pitched excellent for the Gators, striking out 12 batters in 7 innings, and allowing just 5 hits. He just didn't get the run support. The Giants advance to face the Alibrandis.
