In their 3rd attempt in a week, the White Sox finally prevailed as MABL Champions, their first time achieving the feat.

Dave Martin was masterful on the mound, tossing a complete game and allowing just 3 hits. Offensively, the White Sox exploded from the get-go. Al Wiesner led off the game with a single and scored. Will Bissonnette was hit by a pitch and Nate Pane walked, and they both scored off some Reds miscues. The Sox just continued to pound, chasing starter Chris Allen out of the game in the 4th inning with a 5-0 lead. The Sox smashed out 6 more runs off 6 hits in the 6th inning and another run for good measure in the 7th inning.

The White Sox joined the league in 1994, and this marked their first time as MABL Champions. The longest wait for a Sox ring: Brett Rudy (11 years, since 1995), Al Wiesner (5 years, since 2001) and Mike Lembo (4 years, since 2000).

Cap tipped to the Reds for a great series.
