The DBacks assured themselves a playoff spot with this win over the Giants. Rich "Animal" Antash continued his hot hitting (3 for 4, 3 runs, 1 2B) to extend his hitting streak to 14 games. Leigh Zancewicz came up big going 3 for 4 2 RBI. Jeff Cain (3 runs) and MVP candidate Jeremey Broadwell (3 RBI) each had two hits. Also contributing were Bill Schellbach (RBI 2B) and Brian Kilpatric (RBI single). Scott Hruzd picked up the win with 4 K's and 5 earned over 6 innings. Sam price shut the door in the seventh picking up his first save.
Contributing for the Giants were Steve Coyle (4 for 5 2 runs) and Steve Corda (3 for 5, 2 RBI)

In a wild finish at Billings the Reds defeated the Giants 4-3. The game featured the pitching of Drew Blicharz 3 runs on 7 hits and Steve Corda 3 runs on 3 hits.
The Reds rallied with 2 outs in the seventh inning starting with a great AB from Dave Niemi who drew a walk. Jim Dunne lined a single to left. The Giants brought in Dan Shanahan for Corda. Shanahan walked Joe Dunne to load the bases. Adam Beckett delivered a hit to center to score Niemi and Jim Dunne, Joe Dunne tried for third base on the throw home. The throw got by the third basemen and Dunne scored to win the game.
Matt Baier also continued his hitting pace going 2 for 3 with a double and added an RBI

Blicharz and Corda battle in a great duel. Beckett delivers the game winning hit

Zach Fisher outdueld Dan Shanahan in a game that lived up to its billing as a match-up of two of the top pitchers in the MABL. Fisher struck out 15 in picking up the complete game, shutout victory. Shanahan was almost as impressive as he struck out 12 and allowed only 2 runs on solo homeruns by Josue Feliciano and Kevin Beliveau in his 7 innings of work.

Steve Corda took a no-hitter into the 5th inning, leading the Giants to a two game home and home split with the Rockies. Mike Byrne hit a HR and Joe Cavaleri had a 3RBI triple to lead the offense.

Corda held the Rockies offense at bay, while Byrne and Cavaleri provded big sparks offensively

Mike Close, Neal Roper, and Gary Moran all hit HRs and drove in a combined 8 Runs. Multi hit performances came from Moran, Roper and Ricky Corson. Chris Clark pitched 5.1 strong innings to get the win only allowing 2ER to cross. Kyle Philson finished the game, not allowing any more runs in his 1.2 innings.

Mike Byrne's (3-4, SB) bases loaded RBI single in the last inning led the Giants to a walk off victory over the Orioles. Steve Corda had his best start of the season, striking out 11 in this low scoring affair. Craig Spaner made the defensive play of the game in the 5th inning, throwing out Shawn Dumont at home plate to conatin a potential Orioles rally. The game remained tied at 2, setting up Byrne's game winning RBI to end it.

Byrne's walk off RBI ended the game. Corda pitched strong with 11K's. Spaner's defense helped the Giants tremendously.

Dan Shanahan pitched another strong game for the Giants, striking out nine, en route to his 4th victory. Dan Sullivan and Steve Coyle had key hits in the middle innings to put the Giants in front for good.

Coyle and Sullivan's key hits helped Shanahan gain his fourth victory of the season.

Tribe bats errupted for 14 hits and Jason DeVeau pitched a complete game gem to notch the W for the Indians. Lee Hughes finished the day 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored and an RBI, while Justin Boynton added a 3 for 4 day with 2 RBI's. Brian Greene and Daryl Pina also chipped in with 2 hits apiece. On the hill Jason DeVeau was outstanding, allowing only 4 hits, striking out 8 and allowing no runners past 2nd base all night long.

For the Giants, Glen Glennon was 2 for 3.

Chris Arenda hurled a complete game for the O's striking out 7 along the way. In addition, he supported his cause going 2 for 3 with a walk. Shaun Stack and Jay Thomas each helped power the offense with three hits and two runs apiece.

For the Giants, Jose Parra was 2 for 3 including a triple. He also scored two runs.

Chris Arenda pitches O's to victory. Arenda, Stack and Thomas combine for 8 O's hits.

Newly selected White Sox All-Stars (Jon Mead, Mike McInnis, Mike Lembo and Al Wiesner) picked up 10 of the team's 14 hits as the White Sox went on to beat the Giants.

With the bases loaded in the 1st inning and 2 out, Aarron Hutchins came up big with a 2 RBI single to start things off. Mike Lembo then doubled. From there the Sox did not look back.

Of note, in the second inning, both Mike McInnis and Jon Mead stole home as runners coming in from third base as the back end of double-steals. Al Wiesner pitched the complete game, striking out 10, and picking up the win.

For the Giants, Steve Corda had a huge day as he recorded 4 singles in 4 at bats. Steve Coyle went 2 for 4 with a monster opposite field triple. And Danny Sullivan homered to deep center.

Sox' McInnis and Mead each get 3 hits and steal of home; Giant, Steve Corda goes 4 for 4.
