Dan Graham's grand slam home run in the seventh led Lexington to a 5-2 win and a 2-1 series lead.

With two outs Ross Curley was hit by a pitch, Jeff Vigurs singled and Steve Gath walked to load the bases for Graham.

Mike Andre's double in the sixth gave the Chiefs a 2-1 lead. Nick Leva's ground out in the fifth scored Paul Yanakopoulus to tie the game.

The Chiefs take Game Two with timely hitting following five Bulldog errors and with Tim Dunphy's strong finish off the mound.

The teams went back and forth through two innings in a 2-2 game.

After Dunphy retired Mike Taylor with the bases loaded in the second he went on from there to retire the Bulldogs in order for the next five innings making several outstanding fielding plays to aid his cause.

Pete Copa had three hits including a double and Paul Yanakopulos had the game winning rbi in the third with a long triple.

Bulldog starter Sean Boyle deserved a better fate on three days rest after a complete game win on Sunday. He gave up just two earned runs , walked no batters and struck out three.
