Sun, 19 June, 9:00AM, at Framingham - Longs Field
Northborough Phillies 4, Framingham Orioles 2
Jeff Polinski supplied a majority of the Phillies offense in this one with two hits, a walk, three stolen bases and a run driven in. Most of the team assumes that he blew his load in this one and will be a relative no-show for the rest of the year.
Also contributing to the victory were Shawn Walker and Erick Parent combining for all 9 innings and only two runs allowed.
The big stick of the day came from Tony Maglione who hit a mammoth 400 foot opposite field home run which was good for just one RBI since Erik DiGuilio was not on base very much in this one, but caught a hell of a game. Not one stolen base allowed... (Not one stolen base attempt either. Perhaps word is out around the league of the hose on that stud.) |
