The Mariners shook off last week's disappointing last-inning loss with a dramatic come-from-behind win of their own. Facing a 5-0 deficit entering the last of the 7th, the Mariners finally managed to get to the Giants' Jeff Decoteau, rallying for 6 runs on 6 hits. The Mariners first got on the board with one out in the inning, when Jon Mead drew a bases loaded walk to force in EJ Freni, who had led off the inning with an infield single. Brian Wildeman, Mark Balfe, Alan Donaruma, and Freni soon followed with two-out RBI singles to complete the M's comeback victory over the first place Giants. Justin Wetherby pitched well enough and long enough to get the complete game victory, allowing 7 hits and 5 runs, while walking 3 and striking out 1. For the Giants, Dan Dileo reached base safely all three of his plate appearances, recording 2 walks and a double. Four other Giants also recorded one hit each.
